Well, most live in cities now and have never even seen the Milky Way with their own eyes because of light pollution... so people underestimate how truly dark a cloudy / moonless night can be. I only ever experienced this maybe two or three times in my life when I was in a rural area without any light pollution. And as I said in my other post... all the really dangerous (somewhat) enemies glow in the dark in this game and can be seen miles (well, a long distance) away. So they certainly won't surprise you.
Most people make these games prob predominately live in urban areas too, ie, street lights, mass light pollution. Really have no clue what nighttime is like xD
You can see just fine after your eyes adjust.
I was level around 8, maybe 10, when I ended up out at night. It was not my intention but I just ended up outside with no camping kits en route to the first city (did not take cart). I got through the night with a full team of pawns, so I don't think it's that bad, but it was touch and go by the end due to health depletion. But it was fun, it's a good mechanic that is avoidable if you're not up for it.
and I travel at night to spot gold trove beetles easier.
Dude you never walked outside your neighborhood haven't you.
Also wtf mean "im 37 i play for fun" who doesn't play for fun.
What has my post got to do with going outside? Most people don't wander in darkness with no light IRL. Fun is subjective but there's definitely a sect of masochistic gamers that get fun out of tedium and frustration, I am not one. I got that in the 90s and 00s.
