Quality of Life features you'd like to see
I'm absolutely having a blast with this game even with the performance issues. That said, I still wish this game had some modern quality of life changes. Here's some of the ones I'd personally would like to see. Let me know yours in the comments!

💡Skill / Equipment loadouts
Swapping between Vocations still is a huge shore in this game. Would be great if we could just save builds to swap between them on the go. As an added benefit it could also allow us to pull equipment directly from the storage when swapping between vocations.

💡Character Customization Presets
Allow players to save different appearance presets when customizing characters and using Art of Metamorphosis.

It's kinda weird this is not in the full game since they added that in the demo AKA Character Creator. I truly expected this to be included in the final game.

💡More character customization options for beastren
Despite how meaty this character creator is, I feel beastren got the shorter end of the stick. There are so few customization options for them, especially regarding face types. I would love to see other types of subspecies for the beastren featuring other mammals, such dogs, wolves and even rabbits. It's really weird that the beastren are just cat people.

💡Increased view distance slider
While I appreciate that you can increase the FoV, I wish you could increase it even more. I still think the camera is a bit too close to the Arisen

💡Improved Pawn Gifting
Gifting Pawns allows players to pick from items in the storage.

I've lost count how many times I've wanted to gift a Pawn something meaningful upon dismissing but I forgot good items such as restoratives and materials back in my storage.

💡Increased stock in the Storage
I somehow already managed to get 99 of Goblin Horns and Beast Skins. Would be great if storage could hold 999 of each item. Is it really necessary? Probably not, but would be nice to have.

💡Select amount of passage of time
Letting us choose how many days we want to pass when doozing off at benches or sleeping at Inns / home would be great, especially when waiting for quests or when doing sessions of forgery of materials.

💡More oxcart signs
I'm fine with Itsuno's vision to vastly limit fast travel, but the original Dragon's Dogma world was like, what, a tenth of this one?

I think a good solution would be to add more oxcart signs near points of interest, such some of the campfires or other areas that are usually safe from enemies. Yeah, I know you can often meet oxcarts while traveling, but having easier access to them would be great.

💡More Map Markers
This game has tons of points of interest and farming spots and it's really weird we only have 5 markers. Would be great if we could have a higher variety of markers with different icons to help as visual filters.

💡More visual / audio cues for Dragonsplague
I think Dragonsplague is a really cool mechanic on paper, but I think there should be more consistence with the cues when a Pawn has been infected.

I don't know if it's a bug or not, but I've seen many players (including YouTubers) reporting that they recruited Pawns that didn't show any of the signs (red eyes, headaches, disobedience) and they still got the dreaded cutscene after resting. That's genuinelly terrifying. When my Pawn got Dragonsplague she only had the red eyes and didn't display any of the other typical symptoms.

I'm okay with no visible Dragonsplague debuff icon, but maybe add a very faint dark aura surrounding the infected Pawn or something.

💡Dragonsplague Cure
Still on the subject of Dragonsplague, would be really cool if the Arisen could concoct a cure for it. Maybe make it use Wakestones Shards or some other kind of rare material as base, to make a potion that cures Dragonsplague and serves as a vaccine that makes the Pawn immune to it for a set amount of time. It could even be used on summoned Pawns in case you're feeling generous.

Giving players an alternative option to cure Dragonsplague other than YEETING Pawns in the nearest river would be really cool. Maybe even add a sidequest about it when you first get a Pawn with Dragonsplague.

Accessing equipment from the storage box at vocation menus and shops is my big one.

More oxcart routes would be another, but only after discovering the location they lead too.

This is absolutely my biggest issue with the game. 11/10 game if they give us back that menu.

I heard you can change your Pawn's name once you start New Game+ but I've haven't been able to confirm that myself.

But yeah, it's a bit stupid that you can't change your Pawn's name even though you're able to change their gender when using Art of Metamorphosis.

Feature that's already in ddda but somehow dont make it here.

1. Changing equipment menu in deposit so we can preiew gear from deposit.
2. Buy/sell to/from deposit on merchant in town.
3. Possibility to get eternal ferrystone in ng+

All of that are already in ddda, not sure why they dont make it here. One of the nicest qol dd2 have over ddda is the ease of using lantern..

Hydra, Better NG+ Replayability, Enemy scaling so you dont streamroll everything after level 40

Yeah it's very weird how this game didn't change / improve the formula of the original game. It's a bit disappointing how dated some mechanics feel.

You can, or you can on PS5 so I imagine you can on PC.

For the oxcart signs, I'd say to devs to consider reworking this whole system a bit, allowing us to hop off somewhere mid-way, by probably making it more like KCD with the map and the icon of cart following the path where you can choose to stop that fast-forward and get back to control, without hoping for an ambush to be in a convenient space for you.

Luckily most of the features are already covered by mods ;-)

I want to be able to sit down and talk with my pawn again to change their inclination and how much they talk
Arthur Morrigan Apr 8, 2024 @ 12:30pm
Separate voice and inclination. I refuse to give my pawn any voice other than simple, but it would also be nice if he wasn't 300 feet away from the party trying to break open crates with Levin.

To be honest, I don't even need a dragon plague cure, I just need an easier way to know when pawns are infected. All the methods people mention all have random ass occurrences which makes the players kind of paranoid all the time. That combined with that fact that pawn movement and actions are sometimes just badly coded, sometimes they're acting out of malicious compliance... and you don't know when your pawns are infected.

I also kind of wish for a slightly more robust alchemy system, but that's just personal preference.

Just turn your lantern off in the dark and look at them.

100% on having the option to equip your character from items at the storage box after changing vocations, first game had it, no idea why they haven't done it for this one.

Also, turn off pawns auto selling themselves when you walk near them on the open.

An option for setting hotkeys and quick using items from the backpack like the first game would be nice.
