maybe op wanna update his post if its not a bsod? you can still get bsod to this day. there is just a lot of QA that goes into new parts making it seem impossible to get.
so technically the entire computer just freezes lmao, i wish it would crash to desktop so that i could get into looking at what actually went wrong faster. but what exactly happens is that the game just hangs up randomly, and whatever the last noise the game made will play in my headphones at a super loud volume and none of my keys work at all, so the only thing that i can do is hold the power button on my pc to force it to shut off, then when i turn it on again i get the blue screen that tells me that windows didnt shut down correctly and then i have to restart my pc again. it's only DD2 that does tho like i mentioned
So I was randomly checking out customer reviews of Intel i9-14900K/KF CPUs and wow looks like a lot of people have either received faulty chips, or their chips are degrading at an alarming rate. This is really not good...
The problems seem to focus on Unreal Engine games, with reports of issues in Hogwarts Legacy, Lies of P, and The Callisto Protocol, to name a few. In most cases, the game will report an error that it’s out of video memory before crashing. In the worst cases, the crash will cause a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) on Windows, forcing your PC to restart.
For my part, I’ve been running a Core i9-13900K in my main gaming PC for more than a year, and I’ve experienced strange crashes and BSODs in games like Fortnite, Returnal, and Lies of P. Although I don’t want to pin the blame on the CPU, in each case, nothing overt caused the crash — it happens randomly, even with the latest graphics drivers.
i've got an i9-10900kf but even when my pc crashes and i check temps after it reboots, it's usually around 60 or 70 degrees. i've seen people have this same issue after aspecific update with the game tho, because i already have close to 20 hours of it working perfectly fine until this week
1. Check RAM. Use program - MemTest86
2. Check PSU. Use program - OCCT
3. Check Videocard. Use program - Furmark
4. Check all temps under load
5. Check SSD\HDD with - crystaldiskinfo
Also can be software problem, drivers or programs, which cause freeze or BSOD.
Funny coincidence that all 3 games u mentioned use Denuvo too
