Has anyone successfully hunted a Dullahan?
Hi Arisen,

is it really possible to kill a Dullahan? With difficulty scaling they hit super hard in my game, have along stun and a good defense.
And after 60-90 seconds they just disappear.

To crown it all they spawn super rare.

I also have never managed to hire a pawn with a Dullahan badge - not even one in progression.

So, is it manageable or just pure luck?

Thanks in advance for tips.

Also in the unmoored world / post-dragon they become much easier to track down and kill due to the permanent twilight state of the world. (endgame spoilers)

They are pretty tough but killable.

Playing as a warrior I got destroyed by him on my first encounter with him during the till death do us part quest, well not in terms of dying but I always get stunned and he did his berserk wild swinging attack on me while a was crawling on the ground, it's hard to hit him with an arc of might because he'll recover faster than it's charge and some of his attack can stagger me despite me charging a weapon skill, I almost killed him he had only almost a half health bar just 2-3 more charge hit but he got away, I was so pissed I want revenge so I ended up here looking for a way to hunt or summon him again..

Killed dozens of them can't say they were ever a struggle even when I was leveling Fighter was just like parry and hit em with riotous fury a lot til they die. I suppose there are probably setups that could struggle with them but idk what you gotta be doing for that.

As for badges the reason you can't find pawns with dullahan badges is because they just didn't make a dullahan badge for some reason, it's not a thing that exists.

Seems so. Where I encountered normal lizards before, I encounter now Rock Lizards and Lighnting Lizards - even at the roads around Vernworth. And I haven't progressed the story.
Instead of normal Goblins near the beginning there are now a mix of Hobgoblins, normal ones and Hacker.

The only fixed things seem the dungeon spawns.

dang, so if i want to farm dragons, i need to push my difficulty to the max. does anyone know what changes the difficulty?
No, unfortunately the dynamic difficulty scaling is still a mystery.
With yesterday’s patch they fixed a few things regarding to the spawning. One player said after the patch in the Waterfall Cave there are Black Slimes, Lightning Lizards and a Gore-Chimera.

waterfall cave always had a gorechimera. Was like the only one in the game before unmoored.

I found Wargs now in normal game with no endgame triggered. Its near the spot Talos spawns. A drake will spawn fighting the wargs so get the kill before the drake does.

Did it, defeated my first Dullahan - got an achievement for it and 18k experience xD

The Gregor one flees, but I killed the first one (just) I encountered with The Exalted (holy mace).
Target the head and use skills like Gutting Skewer and Cloudward Slash. Have a Mage for healing and a Sorcerer for damage.
The sorcerer will likely stun it at high level at least once and then Gutting Skewer will do a lot of damage. They’re a bit of a doddle past level 50, but they’re annoying as a Fighter because of the teleporting, the scream and the damage to the health bar, which even then isn’t really an issue until you’re Unmoored.

Found my first Dullahan by accident, killed first try. Party of Warrior/Thief/Mage/Archer, level around uh dunno 25-ish I guess?

There's a quest on hunting a Dullahan in Vernworth, that one you get some help and doesn't despawn at day cycle. Check for the wife in Watchhead's Home.

There's a Dullahan achievement, so a player can look up the Arisen profiles of prospective pawns they might hire and check them for it.

A couple of Explosive Arrows to his detached face will make quick work of it.
Funny part is, even if he teleports, the arrows are still stuck there and it's quite funny when he teleports near you, then explodes.

I actually even killed the one that's scripted to run away on my last playthrough at only level 50. Helm splitter +ambuscade+lethality is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ immense damage.
