PSA: Character Customization Clone mod.
There's a mod named Character Customization Clone that lets you copy other pawns' appearances, people can overwrite their characters' appearance with yours and make it their own.

Worse is, it's not client side, so everyone else will also see your stolen pawn on the modder.

If you put hours of work into your pawn and don't want it to be stolen in one click you're gonna have to set it to private.

Edit: The mod has such a low amount of downloads compared to the amount of pawns in the game that the chances of your pawn being stolen are actually pretty low for now, and it's not like everyone is suddenly gonna copy your pawn and your pawn only.

I'm not worried about mine being stolen after all.
I've went through the 5 stages of grief already lmao.

Leaving this for those who feel really strongly against their pawn being stolen and don't browse Nexus mods.

Now all these whiners of the "Cheaters" thread will have no reason to whine anymore because everybody will hide the pawns so at the end there will be only capcom pawns in the rift. Problem solved :-)

That is neat. People can improve on their ugly pawns.

I mean - I don't see what the problem is here; so many already look the same, and nobody is changing your pawn them-self. This is like being upset because someone screen-shoted your Steam profile pic, ran it through photoshop to make it slightly different, then set it as their profile pic...

I spent 4 hours on my pawn and didn't consent to it being stolen plain and simple. If you can't understand why someone would be upset over their hours of work being stolen in a click, then it's a you issue. I made my PFP in 2 minutes and if someone stole it i couldn't care less.

I'm not really upset, just disappointed. And i thought i'd better tell people who spent hours on their characters that this is happening rather than just say nothing.

A lot of people didn't consent to their unique pawn being stolen and it's only natural that they'd set it to private to prevent it from being stolen.

Put youre game to offline mode and problem is solved. By the way whats the name of the mod? I wanted to switch my pawn and my arisens look xD

who cares if someone copies your pawn customization.. you aren't getting anything special because you spent alot of time on your pawn.. The game has like 3 million + players, so your special pawn has probably already been made a few times already..

It really isn't a me issue though - they didn't mess with "your" pawn, but their own. Once your pawn is uploaded to the server, it's out there. Just like folks who maybe put your pawn into a different set of gear (or nothing at all) - it's their game, and they can play it how they want.

After-all, who are you to gatekeep what other pawns are allowed to look like. Would you be this upset if someone instead screen-shotted your pawn and tried to re-create it that way?

Sorry to say it - but this isn't Social Media where "OC Do not steal" holds up. Once you click "Confirm Pawn" or whatever, it is added to the public space.

I’d be more than honored for someone to steal my Beastren that’s built like a egg.

The fact you can't understand someone wouldn't want their pawn stolen is the you issue. Like the fact that i don't want my pawn being stolen, it's a me issue.

They can mess with my pawn all they want in game. My pawn is meant to be hired, you can do what you want with her, throw her off cliffs, give her equipment, remove her equipment, you are the arisen here. It's all in game stuff that i consented to, i know stuff like that will happen and i'm not complaining.

I didn't press any button in the game to "share your pawn's appearance with others" or anything like that, that's my problem.

I'd have 0 issues with someone screenshoting my pawn and trying to recreate it because at that point they are putting work in the sliders.

Note that if Capcom made a pawn sharing feature this wouldn't be a problem.

Edit: About the "OC do not steal" thing, that is how it worked before the mod was released, if you didn't want your oc stolen you just didn't share the sliders lol.
