Favorite/Recommended Vocation?
I'm starting to wrap up my second go through and didn't have any vocation that stuck out to me for the next. Was thinking maybe Trickster so i can get the Detection Augment, but otherwise don't have a preference.

So far finished a run with: Mage and soon Magick Archer

What Vocation have yall loved? Hated? Had the most/least fun with? Any stories/opinions would be greatly appreciated

Warfarer for sure for the flexibility alone, +1000% if you grab the true Warfarer mod that lets you equip skills by weapon insteda of globally as in vanilla.

For a pure vocation though, Warrior >>> Sorcerer > Magick Archer

I like the Thief.
Also playing with the Thief/Dagger skillset while I'm a Wayfarer.

The majority of enemies can be dealt with, with your grapple ability. Pull 'em towards you, knocking them down, then go in for a critical strike.

Plunder everything for more loot.

Helm Splitter for melting giant enemies.

I don't even use my fourth ability. Forget what I set.

if you dont count warfarer because its really just all vocations. i'd say mystic spearhand. being a sort of jedi was quite fun.

That won't break my save or anything right? I'm thinking of doing this simply because i'm too lazy to go vocation guild to change class.

I like Magick Archer as my favorite. Warrior is my absolute lowest ranked class since I hate how slow it is.

Mystic Spearhand, Archer and Fighter are all good as well.

Fighter because its one of the few much more "normal" non-op vocations out there.

I'm a fan of fantasy/medieval knights so Fighter/Warrior.

Until you get Warfare job, then you can pretend to be Noctis from FF15 and use multiple equipment in one job.

Warrior's probably my current top vocation since you can easily run across the map with Ravenous Lunge, plus your attacks do insane amounts of knockdown and damage. Drakes do not last long at all with well-placed Heavenward Sunders and Arc of Might. It's also extremely hard to get knocked down when done right.

Other personal favorites are Sorc, Thief, and Spearhand. Mage and Trickster probably sit at the bottom due to being strongest as support vocations, and relying on pawn AI can be a drag at times.

Mystic Spear is honestly the best for exploration. The spear dash for ledge hopping and the shield you put on all allies. Thief was good in DD1 but sucks now without double jump. Rangers are useless since there's no open spaces since this game is a corridor sim.

You can shoot a giant ice cube with magic Archer.

I'm really liking Magick Archer, I just wish it had more spells like it did in DD1. The Maister Skill is game-breakingly overpowered though, so i don't even slot it unless I'm planning on running into a baddie I don't want to deal with or to finish a pawn quest to kill something.

Get mods for Wayfarer that make it actually good.

Warfarer for the heavy armor plus thief's skills and one MA skill to deal with really huge enemies.

Thief is fun as hell, but I'll move to Wayfarer once I unlock it.
