Add Better Enemy Scaling
This will solve the issue with being high level making you overpowered.

Enemy scaling has been criticized in other games, because if done badly, even rats become formidable opponents and the sense of player growth becomes a diminished carrot on a stick treadmill.

I do agree that you become overpowered really quick, but just pure enemy scaling may not be the solution.

Well goblins I dont care but bigger bosses shouldnt be streamrolled as easily I think

Intelligent scaling would help.
You don't need to scale rats to monster rats but scale the different types of enemies accordingly different, for example.

I wouldn't mind if they had just included a view more tiers of "upgrading bosses". Like I thought the Cyclops upgrades were done really well and made them a bit of a challenge the first time I saw them. But once you get past that threshold there's nothing really keeping you from steamrolling them again.

Rurikahn mentioned that even just scaling all overworld monsters to the Bhatall/Volcano difficulty when you reach those areas would have improved the experience quite a bit.

as of right now the only difficulty is figuring out how to keep flying enemies from fleeing on your current vocation or how to get a golem to show its hidden weak point so you can kill it before you die of old age.

I would really like to have something that would toughen up the cyclops as they die way too fast XD

Better no level scaling at all. Some areas maybe generally easier, but with their own unique tough monsters, and always a chance to get trounced, but also a chance for great loot in all regions. I feel in this game (and DDDA) all the good loot was in certain places, and all the tough monsters. I prefer the chance to get a tough fight or good loot anywhere, but knowing that generally some regions are a bit easier.

It has little to do with scaling and more to do with the fact you
  • Encounter an enemy group every 10 seconds. You never get surprized, so otherwise strong enemies aren't a thread. Try to play solo, you'll get juggled by a group of wolves or goblins and you'll see just how strong they are.
  • Powered up monsters (like Gore Chimera) are fairly rare. At later stages in game (where the first game would have you fight the powered-up versions exclusively) you're fighting the basic ones that any class/build can mow down without issues.

There is a certain level of scaling involved, they've mentioned dynamic difficulty. From what I've observed monsters gain more health bars and do about the same damage even if you're very high level.

Why? Game feels way too easy once you get to level 40

There are no tough fights with the current system. I am around lvl 60 and everything is a literal joke and i don't even have the best gear or did any optimization which is scary. They NEED to increase difficulty or at the very least add a hard mode like in DD1 because this is just sad. The monsters are no different than the constant goblin spam. simply there to slow your progress, not to offer any challenge or risk of death.

This is what I was trying to say. Once you are level 40> everything feels too easy. A better scaling and more replayability in NG+ would be cherry on top

There is no scaling it seems to me. It is region based and that is seemingly locked because i dont notice they have gotten stronger. Your power levels FAR surpasses any scaling the game might have, if any.
