Don't let Dragonsplague scare you, it's such a non-issue mechanic that gets the most braindead and impatient of players.
Pawns provide a sort of faux co-op system with each pawn tailor made by their owner.
That's the whole point of it.
It's a unique mechanic that has only ever been done in Dragons Dogma and has not been done again in any other franchise as far as I know.
It's understandable that some might not like it, but this is the way it is meant to be.
Those don't really sound like big boons if I am honest
It just sounds like this isn't the game for you.
Between not liking the pawn system, and wanting many other changes such as more quest markers and explicit indicators for quest givers, there doesn't seem to be a lot that you do like.
Sadly they already tried that with DDOnline and it didn't really get much traction.
DD was already a niche game. DDOnline was just... dead.
Which is a shame, but the vast majority of the audience just didn't care for it.
This is hilarious.
There's a reason why no other games do this.
Here's a hint: it's because it's the opposite of a good mechanic
I don't know if the Dragon Princess expansion leak is true or not, but if it is, it is supposed to be about another arisen chosen by another dragon. That would be a bit of a stretching of the existing lore... but I could see them doing something like that. Some things have already been slightly retconned.
If it is true, and it sets a precedent for having more than 1 active Arisen... then maybe it could work then.
Maybe even if it was strictly a 2 player co-op thing.
2 Arisen players, each with a main pawn.
I dunno though. Bit of a stretch either way, but not impossible for those that want it.
They are not. It's just something small and unique that other games don't have.
NPC's killed by it respawn in 7 in game days
