Help! Graphics dithering problems
Hello! I'm having this problem with the game and I have no idea why it happens. In many places a shading dithering effect appears. My graphics are updated, the fps are stable, and I have tried changing all kinds of graphic settings but nothing eliminates it. Anyone else has happened?

There's a setting I believe it's called "picture quality" by default I think it's midway, it should fix this if you slide it all the way to the right.

Don't crank picture quality all the way to the right. That's a resolution scaling slider. All the way to the right is 200% resolution scaling ie doubling your render resolution. So if you're playing at 1080, setting the bar all the way to the right puts you at 4k.

With that out of the way, that's capcom's terrible shadow engine. In some other games on this engine, that banding gets blended via TAA but it seems to not work here just like it doesn't work in RE7 in the dx12 ray tracing update.

I have disabled DLSS SUPER RESOLUTION (No) so I can change the "Image Quality". The rendering mode is set to "Progressive".
I've tried setting it halfway, and the effect is still there. I've tried moving it completely to the left, and the effect is still there.

Where should I put it? What a mess! I keep changing settings and none of them seem to work to eliminate that annoying dithering.

I have a 2K MSI monitor, a 1080p ASUS monitor, and a Huion graphics tablet for drawing at 1080p as well. I have tried all three, to rule out the monitor issue, and nothing. I have also tried activating/deactivating HDR and calibrating: Nothing.

Although the game works fine for me with everything on high, I have tried the optimized mode offered by Nvidia GeForce Experience, either!

I'm going crazy!

(Despite the fact that all the high graphic options appear in red or orange in the game due to memory consumption, the game works well for me at acceptable FPS, fortunately, unlike some colleagues who have had problems even with better equipment than mine. Except for that dithering problem.)

I had it all the way to the right in my last test, but the problem persists.
It persists in any of the points, I have tried one by one. It is true that in some parts it is more or less noticeable, but the dithering does not disappear completely. I don't get smoothing. Maybe I'm skipping something, I could swear I've tried changing all the graphic options and none of them work.

I'm seeing that the problem is really common. When looking for reshader mods on Nexus in case this solved the problem, I saw that they all have dithering in the "before" and "after" of the sample images.

And this is why I said not to bother turning the render resolution up.

It doesn't eliminate it completely but it's definitely MUCH MUCH better. I'm trying it right now. I can turn it on and off and tell the difference.

Thanks a lot friend!

If anyone finds a better solution, I'll keep an eye on this thread.
But for now, with this mod I have greatly improved my gaming experience.

You might want to try this. You have to use it with REFramework. There also mods that force DLAA. It seems you are describing a common problem with modern antialiasing algorithms like TAA which use previous frame data to combat aliasing. In games like this with lots of detail in a single frame it's prone to errors and is often blurry in motion. TAA artifacts are more noticeable on lower resolutions (1080p or less) and somewhat less noticeable at 1440p and up, because there is more data to work with. DLAA works kind of the same but is much better than TAA.
