Formless faint often does not activate.

I screwed myself many times by using formless faint and going headstrong against enemy only to be boinked away. I don't know why it doesn't work,animation plays out but this violet mist does not appear. Sometimes it takes few tries for this skill to work.
Anyone else has problems with this or other skills not working?

Formless feint activate animation is very short but cancel animation is instant. Your keyboard might be have double press issue. Try putting on a different skill slot or different keybinding.
I did many times activated than deactivated by mistake. (by just reflex not a keyboard issue)
