Are save rollback ... safe ?
I'm just wondering with the anti tamper and the pawn data they have on their server.
I'd assume so since we have the "load last inn save" option, but i'd rather not find out the hard way.

I backed up my saves locally and had to restore twice. Had no issues.

I roll back all the time to test things via DD2 Save Manager and never had issues apart from:

- reinstalling game. The game did not recognise my saves and I had to start a new game and play it until the first save. I could then roll back
- after finishing the game and have the option to start NG+ the same thing. I had to start a NG+ until the first save and then could roll back

I didn't check that issue with the old pawn showing after starting a new game with a new pawn because I always use the same pawn I created with the creator

The absolute worst case scenario is the automated denuvo 24 hour lockout. Which, while definitely annoying, isn't exactly the end of the world. It's not a ban or some kind of disciplinary action. You're not losing any save games or progress. So yes, it is safe.

With that out of the way, you can mess a *lot* around with the files without triggering the 24 hour lockout. I've swapped saves around 40ish times in a single day without any issue. But I've also heard from some that they accidentally got locked out after just 15-20, so there is some uncertainty there.

If you want to be 100% sure then limit it to 5 times or less per 24 hours. That's the threshold where denuvo will never trigger.
