What happens if Disa dies?

I screwed around a little and made Disa my lover by handing her an eternal bond. Then I carried her to my house in the common quarters and she was beaten up by my "other" lover. Since this mechanic makes absolutely no sense for a major story character, I wondered what would happen if you accidentaly or intentionally kill her? Does the game get softlocked or does it change the story? Don't wanna try but maybe someone did it already...

Disa is an essential character, Despite the games marketing you can't actually kill her.
Same goes for Pheasus, I tried using the Sealing Phail on him and he does get put into the Phail.... but he doesn't.

DD1 handled those kinds of situations a bit better though they where more limited.
