Does adding a pawn to favourites mean you can find it again as it levels up?
Title question.

Seems that would be the only use for having a favourite pawns list right?

Fire and rehire them to see if their creator kept playing and leveled them up further?

Will they be as you first found them? as in your favourites pawn list is your own little cloud save? or will they be updated over time as their arisen player levels up?

Any time the owner rests it’ll update them to the pawn server so they’ll be however they were when they were last uploaded

You can search for favorite pawns at the rift-portals in major settlements. (e. g. Bathal, Vernworth, but also in restpoint, vulcan-island and the elven settlement.) I tend to mark pawn with rare specialications as favorite. Also with NEEDED specialcations. (the only one being wordsmith) so I have an easy time to find them, if I need or want to.

For me whatever pawn i have hired does not update on favorites, in fact, they temporarily vanish from favorites until i dismiss them, only then i can see if they've been leveled or not. Which i find odd. It should always show.

The fav list allow you to search for em faster and also make them to roam your world over other random pawns.

No actually you can't in this one, you can in the first one. DD2 interacting with the rift only gives 2 options; pawns in the rift, and Leave the rift. No search option what so ever, not even inside of "Pawns in the rift" option. Edit: large settlement rift crystals have the search option.

That's only true for "wild" riftstones. Those have special prperties, where pawns with special traits are listed. (for examplle: only bestren, only kindhearted. only pawns with quests and so on.)
But in the "main" riftstones, you can seach for special traits, YOU select. The "main" are in cities, except harver village, but including melve.
Then, there are the "great" ones, These are in the main cieties in Bathal and Vermund. Here you can even search for pawns of "wild" rifstones, you've activated. But you sadly can't search through those "wild" properties. (e. g. you can't select an activated riftstone, and then activate the search through only the pawns of this wild rifstone. If you activate the search, it is as you didn'T activate a wild riftstone first.)
Anyone know if there is a Riftstone that displays all your Favorited Pawns out in the open? So that you can see what all the Favorited Pawns looks like?

When just searching by name...and spawning one at a time...is a real pain.
I wish you could just spawn all your Favorites at the Main Riftstone...
