Overworld Boss Spawn Experiment!
So I have crafted a theory for in the game.
As is semi-common knowledge by now, depending on some kind of factor, whenever you start a NG, NG+ or between different players, you gather different kinds of barries off of bushes. So far I've encountered/heard of Straw-, Blue-, Rasp- and Cranberries.

Now what I've also found is that most of the information I seek online about specific overworld bosses (Dullahans, Wights, Chimeras) seems to not track at all for me.

I therefor theorize that overworld boss spawns are dependent on a similar seed-like mechanic as the berries. In order to test this, I propose an exchange of information between players! Find bosses in your overworld, post their exact location and tell what berry type you gather! In return, also give information of whether or not you've seen those bosses there or not!

My first bosses I've tried to work out:

https://gyazo.com/ce4ec7987654f98b4ab9d7329c0198bd <- Supposedly there should be a Dullahan at night on the waypoint marker. It is not there for me, but I've seen image proof of its spawn.

https://gyazo.com/4e1892c2ac2e8039eefccc0c70fbe0fc <- On Waypoint marker II, a Lich spawned for me at night.

For reference: My current berry type are Raspberries!

The world is littered with monster spawn locations. Each of these has either a singular monster pool (such as guaranteed Chimera, or later Gorechimera in the pool cave of Waterfall Cave; or the Drake on Volcano Island beach); or the spawn has a pool of monsters it can draw from.

For example, the farmstead on the cliff outside Vernworth can spawn Cyclopes and Ogres. The road between Ja'Nuwa and Sandspire in Southern Battahl can spawn a Cyclops or a Goreminotaur.

Many of these pools seem dependent on your progress in the main quest. Most spawns are guaranteed, meaning there will always be a monster there (except during grace period after killing it). Some are not guaranteed, meaning a monster has a chance of spawning. This includes the Wight in Illdoer's Rest (outside of Dullahan quest), or the cyclops south of Headwater Cavern (North west out of Vernworth).

Mmmh that does sound accurate, however I would still love to try to figure out if this is a potential thing. I'm only asking because I've repeatedly tried to force spawns by returning several nights in a row, etc. Also information of spawns seem wildly inaccurate but that might just be a Fextralife thing.

Dullahan likes bridges but only a very specific time after midnight and also vaporize when daybreaks. One of the hints for Dullahan pointed to him being difficult due to the very short time window he pops up and how rare he does so.

I've been able to consistently produce a dullahan fight at the camp outside of the nameless village. you just seem to need to come to it from a bit further away. I wasn't able to spawn it by resting till night at the camp and then waiting for it. It's kind of to the west up a hill or two from the camp, but you should see the fog and blue light from it. Well, i haven't tried it since i killed it once, but I had seen it in the same spot twice.

i think the spawns are static, but you might need to be far enough away for them to spawn when conditions are correct. pretty much every other monster i've fought has been in the exact same spot.

Respawns might be based on 7 day cycles or some other factor, or there might be other prerequisites to get initial/respawns.

So is the theory that the spawn types vary between worlds or is it the spawn locations that also vary? If i plot gathering points in one save, will they change location/content in ng+?

I was under the impression that both apply, but I also have since had weird spawns in places that previously didn't have any, while others stayed constant, so I'm losing faith in my theory, lol. It's probably what Shard of Manus said, that spawn camps just have chances of A, B or No Spawn.

Okay so. It would appear I have debunked my own theory, so ABORT ABORT ABANDON SHIP NOBODY LOOK AT MY FOOLISHNESS
