Any way to hire a guard for Rose Chateau?
Just finished the Every Rose has it's thorns questline, Wilhelmina has left. Escorted Empress to the Rose Chateau... now Gwen outside the door mentions how since Wilhelmina left unruly customers are causing problems, and "if only we could hire a decent guard" Last time I thought it was just flavour text (because I didn't get a quest) the beastren lad died at the glorious hand because I didn't go to rest point and hire the doctor... So does anyone know if there is a guard to hire?

Do the Cobra Snakes quest in Battahl, which becomes available after you get the permit to enter Battahl itself (or at least the quest for it).

Then handle the NPC that comes out of it, and you'll be able to give him a job.

Don't tell the NPC who killed his parents or he will get himself killed.

No problem! You can also give him a job at the Apothecary, but I think to achieve that you need to get the bad / sad ending to that quest. Not 100% sure.

Seems like the Brothel is the better choice though, I totally missed those quests in my playthrough but it sounds like they NEED that position filled, whereas the Apothecary thing is like, more hobbyist or something.

What's better for Hugo though? No clue.

Not if you go there right away and do him in yourself. Then he'll show up right as you finish wiping your sword clean and, well, he'll be okay with it actually.

But you've gotta go pretty much as soon as you're informed about the prison break or you are indeed screwed. Though perhaps a wakestone can help, I dunno.

Ah, good to know. I didn't fail to save the kid, so that's not an option for me... I wouldn't send him there anyway though.
I also think the brothel guard is a better outcome. Like you said, they need protection after Wilhelmina leaves, and "unruly customers" doesn't sit right with me in that kind of establishment.
