Where do I learn elf language. Made my way to their village, didn't find anyone to teach me.

Give gifts to one of the NPCs there until they reach max affinity/or affinity high enough and he/she will give you the roll. To the same NPC, of course ;-)

Gift the elven innkeeper bunch of flowers, wait on bench 24 hours, rinse and repeat. Once her affinity is high enough she will give you the pawn specialization.

Alternatively, hire a pawn that has the woodland wordsmith specialization already. Like 90% of them have it.

I was approached by a Capcom pawn out in the wild with the Woodland Wordsmith skill while on my way to the village with the archer elf who introduced herself by telling me about her language skills, this felt scripted and this game's way of making sure you have a pawn with the language skill when you go there on the (side) story mission, maybe it's different if you go there outside of this quest and explore on your own. The game makes it incredibly easy to find a pawn who already understands the language, you do not really need the skill for your own main pawn. There are a bazillion pawns in the rift who already have that skill.

The pawns will hints that you should befriend the elves because they're good proud people.

Give it to the shopkeeper instead. You will get the scroll and discount for future purchases.
