If you like to explore fantasy worlds, fight big monsters, and throw people around like ragdolls this is a good game for you.
Performance issues are real, but not insurmountable. CPU is the bottleneck, so just be sure nothing else is running and raise your CPU prio on DD2.exe to High to alleviate most of them.
Microtransactions are just a corporate checkbox. All MTX items are available in game, easily. The game has a single "Online Store" button on the title screen and otherwise never pesters, mentions, or alludes to microtransactions existing while you are playing the game.
Click settings
Scroll down
Put a checkmark in "Enable Benchmark mode"
Then click OK

@above ya but its not 20fps like lamers nexus. so that tells me something is off. to get that bench i had to load into the game without messing with anything in the background.
No matter how low I put settings it ran under 10 fps, and the textures were all Play-Doh (realize I have never spelled that word and had to look up how the brand was spelled).
For sure I would like 90+ fps in the game, but getting a stable 60 is good enough for me. I would like towns to get out of the 30fps rate and into the 50-60 window at least.
Freaking out because you are not getting 200fps and calling the game a total failure is a bit drastic though.
You even claimed:

Your own screen shot proves you wrong.

As you can see in my screenshot, I am at 59 FPS while motionless, and if I stay motionless, the average will raise (and therefore 1% lows will raise as well). Your own screen shot already proved that you aren't getting a steady 50 FPS like you claimed, and that was the point.
Moving on.
