How do you use Motion Sensor on non-PS4/PS5 controllers? (Using 8bitDo Ultimate with Gyro)
As the title says. I have an 8bitDo Ultimate controller that has gyro functions, but plugging the controller in is not allowing me to use the Motion Sensor Function. Do we have a way to enable gyro aiming on controllers that aren't the PS4/PS5 controllers?

If anybody knows of a sure-fire way, please do share. Thanks.

I'd like to know this too. I actually hooked up one of my PS5 controllers and the option was still faded out and said it wasn't supported by my setup. I have no idea how to use it even with a PS5 controller!

I was able to use my 8bitDo Ultimate via Bluetooth only as it was the only way for Steam to detect it as a Switch Pro controller. I also had to setup everything about the Gyro so it was more trouble that it was worth. As far as I've heard somewhere, you can use the PS5 motion control only via wired connection. But that's just going off of other people's comments. Although, it seems PS5 ported games sometimes directly work with an actual PS5 controller albeit you have to use it wired, and you can use all the bells and whistles that Dual Sense has if the ported game is configured for it.

So motion aim worked for you with your 8bitdo controller?
What settings did you use?
I've tried for days and can't get it to work.

I've tried setting the controller to windows mode, switch mode + steam mode and switch mode with disabled steam mode.

As I previously mentioned, it only works when in Bluetooth mode as a Switch Pro Controller. You can probably just use an already existing controller settings profile for a Switch Pro Controller if you want to try it because I just couldn't go through all the trouble setting and fine-tuning the gyro from scratch myself. It's not worth all the trouble IMO.
