Has Anyone Experienced a Logistician Pawn Organizing Inventory in Dragon's Dogma 2?
I'm reaching out to the community to see if anyone has experienced a specific function of the Logistician specialty pawn in Dragon's Dogma 2. According to the description, these pawns should be able to craft items, which is visible during gameplay. However, the description also implies that they should have the capability to organize and balance the inventory among pawns. This particular aspect, the inventory management, is something I have yet to observe in action.

Has anyone witnessed a Logistician pawn actually organizing and balancing the inventory as described? If so, could you share your experiences or any insights on how this feature works? It would be incredibly helpful to understand if I'm missing something or if it's perhaps not as obvious as the crafting behavior.

Thanks in advance for any information or personal experiences you can share!

Best regards.

Yeah they do organize, but prolly in more extreme weight cases. Could be that they only organize stuff that you've collected from the ground/chests, but not stuff you've specifically taken from your storage or specifically given to yourself or any of the 3 pawns.
You can try just by hoarding loads of materials and go overboard with it and see if other pawns get more materials in their inventory compared to what they've actually gathered, like monster materials or ore.

Yes, don't hire them. I had one re-arrange my tent onto a different pawn, who was then murderified by a fell lord along with the rest of my party, leaving me tentless and alone. I barely managed to beat the fell lord literally him or me on the brink of defeat and then in epic fashion I dodged his murdery warp attack and smacked him with my Bargain Blade of Low Level. I then limped my way back to a campfire, had to kill a horde of orcs, and stand by the campfire fending off attacks until morning.

DO NOT HIRE THE REARRANGERS OF DOOM.

Oh, so that's what happened, I had one time an issue where I was like, where the heck did my tent go from my inventory, but when camping I still saw it, thought it got consumed or something, thought I ruled out that tents only get destroyed if you don't clear out the area near the camp (happened so far once only with my elite camp), but pawn just playing tricks on me, also it's my own pawn, I'll prolly change it out at some point, it's nice though that I don't have to manage my weight limits that much.

I don't take them with me, they tend to combine items even in my own inventory that I did not want them to combine. They're usless in my opinion.

my pawns been a logi for most of the game, they do move things around but only when it gets heavier and you leave it for a bit, personally I've always liked them. The only time I wouldn't use one would be if I was an archer because arrows are one of the very few things that share ingredients, most other things just mush together to make the 1 thing it makes and then you mush those into 1 more thing and then those into 1 more thing at the top end.

Since crafting is just a ladder and not a branching thing they do fine. Since ingredients have zero other uses besides the 1 thing they make (and maybe an arrow they make as well) nothing of value is lost, you can't save those ingredients to make anything else anyway.

And yeah the only thing i'll say is if you do use one make sure you dump all pawns extra stuff into your storage every time you can so you don't lose a gold beetle or tent somewhere. (this is less inventory management than what you do without a logi).

Edit to add they seem to avoid eating quest items to make things

Apples + Grapes + Greenwarish apparently makes Salubrius Brews. Was trying the mass fruit buying selling tactic to make some dosh. Pawn kept craftin' brews using up the mats, had to dismiss him.

I have seen pawns move gear a couple times. It's only in specific cases really. Logistician makes it happen sooner, but most of the time, they won't touch anything until the situation is extreme.

If you are in very heavy weight, and all your pawns are in very light. The logistician will probably move some items. If you stay in very heavy for a game day and your pawns won't increase weight level when items get moved, then any of your pawns will take items to make you lighter.

But they don't really do it constantly, only if one member of the party is much heavier, and they try not to push any party member over their current weight threshholds.

It works, but it isn't big, and it doesn't pay off for ending up wasting some herbs on salubrious draught when so many better things could be made.

It would be better if you could talk to the pawns and tell them what you want crafted. As by waiting for meat to age or fruits to ripen to craft the better stuff.

I have figured out to just separate what you are trying to age and don't pull them out together when trying to sell he will combine them into dried fruit too lol

Logi is worse than having no specialisation at all.

There's a lot of Logistician hate in here, but I love having one in my party because I will always forget to combine fruit and meat before they spoil. I don't really mind if they use herbs to make potions instead of roborant since I'll hawk those off to my chigurgeon pawn, and those are really the only shared item for combination.
