Wow this game is shorter than I thought it was.
The end of the game was rather abrupt. It seemed like it was going to go On for a lot longer than it did. Also the game's ending leaved a bit much to be desired. Don't know how to feel about it.

The story ends very abruptly yes. It's particularly bad. Somehow worse than the original
Did you at least do the unmoored world? It salvages it slightly

I don't know. i just followed the main quest and suddenly, out of nowhere I was facing the final boss. I genuinely thought he was going to kick my ass. I felt like I missed all sorts of stuff and definitely wasn't ready. But I ended up shredding him.

Ok yeah you missed several hours of content, which is arguably the best part of the game
Sorry lol

I beat the dragon. he crumbled to dust. became king. Watched the credits while I sat on my throne.

was I supposed to do something else?

In the throne room where the throne is you're supposed to talk to the ghost sitting by the throne who reverses time to where you're flying on the dragon. You then take the god sword and stab it in the heart. This puts you in the epilogue where the world changes and there are new bosses

Oh well. I guess I'm just missing that because I am done playing this game for now.

yeahhhhhh the story kinda sucked, it felt like there was a much bigger story to tell that they cut or something. Leaving Vernworth like that and then going to Battahl to do basically nothing just to end up on the island ready to beat the game felt like ♥♥♥♥. Gameplay salvaged it but a 4th grade student could write a better story tbh. And yes I did the true ending and the unmoored world, it still sucked

It's called the unmoored world if you want to youtube it. Or just save it if you think you'll play again some day
I'll continue the game again some day. I had lots of fun with it.

But the game was at least fun. I got my moneys worth. but I definitely feel bad for anyone who purchased some MTXes.

Anyone who claims this game is short flat out played the game wrong. Playing this game isn't rushing the main story. The entire purpose of the early story quests is to push you out into the world so that you can explore with your big boy pants on, not to lead you by the hand from beginning to end.

When did people start buying games so that they can finish them as fast as possible? The entire point of this game is to go out exploring with your group of pawns and go on an adventure driven by player agency. This was never in question from the moment the game was announced.

If you rushed the main story, congratulations. You completed the worst part of the game and bypassed 80% of the content.

it definitely ends abruptly, especially the final beam in the unmoored world, but the game itself is objectively not short. I won't defend the story.

I have 90 hours without killing dragon yet. 180 seeker tokens collected and few side quests remain, 50 caves explored. I guess it depends if you explore or rush main story. There are a lot of hidden quests if you bother to talk to npc's

So? I didn't see anything in the game's rules that stated I had to play it the way you described.
