Act 1 Only Quests

If I do the coronation quest is it going to auto-fail sidequests and lock me out of any undiscovered ones?

I remember this being a thing in the first game and I just want to make sure I don't accidentally lock myself out of any maister skills.

The coronation quest is less of a point of no return than it sounds like. I think you only miss out on a handful of quests. Mostly the other quests Brandt or Sven give. But might be a more definitive quest list out there.

It wont lock you out of any maister skills I'm aware of. Assuming you did Brandt's quest to the Nameless village and got the thief ones.

Ok cool. I think I've done most of the available quests, even in the desert area, except for some of the maister ones.

It only locks you out of Brant's stuff and maybe like 1 thing in the castle. Don't do what I did and put it off too long

Yeah most, if not all, of the Maister quests/events can be done at any point. I had to backtrack near the end of the game to grab Beren's questline for the Warrior skill. Just be wary of everything else.
