Elden ring is gonna win GOTY again. This game is fun but honestly theres a lot of problems they didnt fix from the first game. The "vision" for this game is pretty bad.

ER cannot win game of the year because it is releasing a DLC lol. It would have to be "ER remastered+the DLC" to win the GOTY.

Never imagined I'd say this, but I think Ubisoft has a chance of winning with Prince of Persia: TLC. I loved every second of that game and I absolutely hate Metroidvanias.

I agree, when it comes to DD2 if compared to DD1 it's more of the same but somehow less... a fine game, but not anywhere near GOTY material

Then by that metric it's actually Tekken 8 which has revolutionary features for it's genre.

Not sure about OP, but these are typical logical fallacies of apologist trying to justify mediocrity. I never bough any game beside Skyrim, in facts any other game as Cyberskunk, Starsgarbage ect made some of our old school gamer not going anywhere near them just from explanation alone
The only reasons in fact i bought DD1 is due to greek mythology. Being somehow of fan of DD1 I can say bought dd2 only because of dd1, but it feel like cheap copy done just bad, even though dd1 had half of map and lesser graphics gameplay wise story wise was far more better, original.
DD2 has everything possible wrong half baked game, boring story, arcade type of fighting, ESG score/SJW to keep up with, MTX, Denuvo DRM ect ect.
And one thing that shows how the game is preforming is the sales and interest in game tanking 50% less than two week of initial sales. So lets compare with what is comparable in categories. that are similar. This game doesn't even hold a candle to Skyrim, Elden rings.

I think you might want to look into getting some professional help. Because that is a very unhealthy mental state and something is causing you to feel that way. Feeling good about others feeling bad suggests a deep inner turmoil and possibly self doubt/loathing.
