did not receive celestial paene

Is this quest bugged? I was able to get the sorcerer's spell but not celestial paene. the man in the shack won't even give a prompt to give a gift or anything

It's grandma Eini the one, I believe

the father only gives maelstrom. one of the two old women in the shack with the daughter gives celestrial paene, but it's pretty sensitive to timing and order. when you finish the daughters quest properly and she gives you the meteor spell the correct older lady should walk up to you and offer the mage scroll

if that doesn't work out there is one alternative method to getting celestial paene in a quest involving the transcendence book 1 and 2, pretty sure.

do her escort mission or give some flowers, it's affinity based, I had the same issue, just did her the escort and gave some flowers and now I got it. This is post the main quests of this line with the sorcerer girl.

Hilariously when capcom "patched" that quest they broke it for me entirely in 2 seperate playthroughs, that girl is studying the books for 73 days now. The quest never progressed past that ever. Grandpa stands there with no interaction (no gift option) and grandma has despawned. Not died, despawned. No corpse, no listing in vault. Not by the ogre. GONE.

Checked up and down every path and cave and nook in that area. Annoyed me so much I put a portcrystal right there to maybe get it on 2nd playthrough. but nope, give her books, she is studying and that is all that ever happens. Grandma stands near statue at beginning then goes to the clearing with the ogre. And that is as far as I have seen it. I talked with her there and only got generic dialog and then rested for gift refresh and she despawns, not dies, but flat out disappears from existence. No entry in vault, no corpse, no trace of her.

To be clear, I have seen how the quest should play out but it ain't doing it for me for some reason. (This is a NG+ run though)

Does this 2nd grandma exist? I still only see 1 man grandma and 1 woman grandma and I've gone back 3 times now

it's the girl and her grandparents, grandma Eini sometimes is at the cliff above, there is a road besides the hut, she gives the mage one

Oxcart quest is buged for me. I go there naked but oxecart runs off. Seems new patch might have broken it

You also have to give gifts for grandfather. All 3 of them needs max affinity so the eini would give you the scroll
