Off the Pilfered Path

Im stuck. I see the marker on the map but every time I go to the ancient battle ground Lanzo is no there. Any tips would be greatly appreciated.

this quest is completely bugged if you do certain things before going there. mine was bugged the moment i did the assassin search quest.
