Is the Medusa's head an obvious thing in your inventory? I can't find it
I seem to have 'lost' the Medusa's head.

I managed to kill the Medusa (my other 3 pawns died during the battle).

I fully looted the thing (became very heavy) - ferry-stoned my way to Battahl - recovered my main pawn and recruited 2 new ones - then legged it to the Pilgrim's Inn - to store junk and rest.

I can't find the Medusa head in my inventory - or in the Inn's inventory. Is it something obvious to notice or is it a special item?

I ferry-stoned back to the Medusa's body (I was smart enough to plop down a port crystal), but the body is fully-looted - no head there.

You have to actually cut off her head I believe. Its just a normal item in your inventory.

you have to cut her head with a slashing weapon and loot the head, and the head decays and is destroyed after some time or after using it if it isnt the preserved version

You need to cut the head off to loot it from the ground
Also how did you manage to lose that hard to it lol, just climb on her neck and spam light attacks to win the encounter by shutting off her sight

Aha, I merely looted it - luckily I have my Inn save to just load and ferry-stone back and see if I can still cut it off.

Thank you.

You became very heavy because you looted her spell bow most likely. It's a 15kg bow.

I am a sorcerer - my main pawn is a Mage. I had a fighter and archer guy - they lasted a long time, then I realised it was just me left.

Only having one fighter might explain it yeah, I'm a Fighter and my Pawn is a Fighter so it was easy to teach him where to climb for a head drop

pawns will never cut it off and you can't cut it off with a sorceror, gotta use a slashing weapon. i suggest using Mystic Spearhand and a mage that has lightning affinity. also has to be done within 2 bars of her health, otherwise it wont happen. i tried countless times as thief with holy daggers only to learn it doesn't work. gotta have lightning.

You can wait like 1-2 in game days and she responds as well. If she dies, it isn't the worst thing.

I run a mace and my Pawn has Dragon's Dogma, it definitely wasn't me who cut it off lmao

weird it never could get my pawns to cut it off and i used a warrior and they climbed up there with me constantly.

Pawns are capable of cutting it off if you've got a Thief, but it might not be until the fight is nearly over. That's how my first Medusa fight ended anyway.

*Might* be that the Warrior pommel strike is considered a strike attack instead of a slash even on a greatsword, can't say but for me a Fighter with a straightsword cut it for me

did you have lightning affinity or was the sword they used lightning based? all i know is i tried dozens of times to do it this way with a thief only to come back with lighting affinity and do it instantly with MS.

I can't exactly remember because I wasn't even really going for the decapitation, it was just a bonus for that run lol
But Dragon's Dogma is predominantly a physical sword, with a small magic split but is able to be enchanted, iirc my mage squadmate at the time had lightning affinity yes
