Only having one fighter might explain it yeah, I'm a Fighter and my Pawn is a Fighter so it was easy to teach him where to climb for a head drop
I run a mace and my Pawn has Dragon's Dogma, it definitely wasn't me who cut it off lmao
*Might* be that the Warrior pommel strike is considered a strike attack instead of a slash even on a greatsword, can't say but for me a Fighter with a straightsword cut it for me
I can't exactly remember because I wasn't even really going for the decapitation, it was just a bonus for that run lol
But Dragon's Dogma is predominantly a physical sword, with a small magic split but is able to be enchanted, iirc my mage squadmate at the time had lightning affinity yes
