Gotta be either outright laziness, or just sadism, but definitely the worst save system in any game from recent memory.
What i also dont get - maybe im missing that.
But why isnt there any Info in regards to the 2 savegmes? For example where is the savepoint - how much time played and when was it made. If you dont play for a longer time its probably hard to even know what you should load ...
players and people just need to understand it better
Gaming is a hobby and everyone should be able to play however he wants. Some people enjoy frustration - others dont. Why is it so important to you how others play a SP game?
Also my argument was also about the dangers - loosing progress - and problems - not knowing which save is at what state etc. - but you ignored that because you arent here to actually argue.
15 years of service on steam and you still write like some edgy cringe kid ...
Sometimes i wonder if this is just about diehard casuals that get their self esteem from playing casual SP games that for some reason cant stand it when other people play the game differently.
As it is now the game is just annoying - its neither hardcore (like permadeath), one save with no rollbacks etc. nor completely casual.
It just makes saving your game more annoying and time-consuming while also wasting players time.
If the argument is dealing with consequences - then it doesnt make sense since you can rollback with the inn all the time. If its about one save - the game doesnt have that. If its about hardcore ironman etc. - the game doesnt have that either.
Superficial mechanics that only require more time spent and will make you loose more time arent "difficulty" they are just annoying.
Honestly what does this system add? What does it add only beeing able to create one character? Especially when everything you diehard "elite" players talk about isnt actually in the game since you can roll back with the inn save - its just more annoying ...
If that style of game design doesn't apply to you, that's fine, you'll just have to forego this game.
1) not in modern AAA gamiong industry
2) if their vision was choices matters there would only be one save - so as i explained from that point of view it makes no sense (i wouldnt like that either but at least it would be a clear choice) - you can undo without a problem - its just a bit more annoying with inn saves
Its funny how people like you bring up the same awful argument even tough i have already stated why its not the case in th is game.
You can still just do regular inn saves and roll back. You can also just backup your save files if you want to do it outside what the game lets you do.
I never understood the problem with "save scum" anyways - its a choice. If people like to play their SP game - why not? How does it concern you how someone else plays his SP game?
Its like some guy running to a public soccer field screaming at people not playing by official Fifa rules ...
The game simply is not for these people.
It was designed this way on purpose.
