Pawns should have been able to use All Vocations (Except Warferer)
It's kind of silly to think you meet NPC's, more of them than not, that are actual Mystic Spear-hands, Sigurd, Manella, the one dude in Vernworth. Also the Maisters themselves that give you the classes are these separate vocations. I'm sure they don't have have all the skills, and I'm sure there's a reason behind Pawns not being able to use multi-classes due to their ability to program AI.

It has been 12 years though, and Pawns still get the SAME Vocations as they had always been given through Dragon's Dogma 1, Dark Arisen, Dragon's Dogma Online (actually pretty sure Pawns had diff vocations on DDO now... Been too long).

So why now are the pawns STILL stuck with the same Vocations that essentially have the SAME skills? (with the exception of some legendary ones).

The only vocation I could really see tripping up the AI "that" much would be the Trickster vocation. Everything else seems completely viable for Pawns, and the AI to handle.

DDDA allowed MORE vocations. It had Magick archer, mystic knight, Strider, assasin, ect for pawns. This is my biggest issue with DD2. I don't get why pawns lost Magick archer. It would make sense if they could use all but warferer (and maybe mystic lancer boi of infinite shield)

Pawns in DDDA could not use hybrid vocations.

No pawns can use exactly the same amount of vocations in DD2 don't see where you draw these conclusions just because Strider doesn't exist anymore i bet.

someone else modded then cause it was a summon from them with a "level infinity"
yeah, why anime pawn get to be magic archer and our pawn can't?

Yeah, they literally kept all of the issues from DD1 and added even more restrictions and took away features. The only upgrade is the combat. Such a waste of $70.
You guys must chill out. Leaks revealed that a DLC is coming September, Capcom made a quiz asking if we want a DLC and how much we're willing to pay for it, so new mechanics probably will be introduced when the DLC comes.

LOL NO, DDDA allowed pawn vocatons were: Archer, Strider, Warrior, Fighter, Mage, Sorcerer. Arisen only: Mystic Knight, Magick Archer and Assasin.

If your pawn is using a hybrid vocation then your using a mod that you downloaded. The infinity sign is max level ( 200 ) in the unmodded version. Pawns cannot use a hybrid vocation in the unmodded version.

Maybe.
I think the Magick archer is a very fair game and should be easy for the pawn to use, since the whole class is about aimbotting.

Mystic spearhand is also okay in my book since it's just a fighter with more magick.

But other more advanced class such as trickster and wayfarer should be player only for obvious reason that AI won't be able to use them effectively.

I assume its cause the pawns are just to dumb to do what a human does, watching a pawn trying to cast ultimate spells are painful they get 90% of the way and stop most of the time. So i assume other vocations have the same problem so it was easier just for them to keep it simple.

I'd pay max 0 dollars for their dlc
I don't think it's a programming AI issue. I've done escort missions for Sigurd and Glyndwyr and they both use their vocation skills. I'm trying not to deliver Sigurd as he really wrecks everything with my pawn party and I'm not a mystic spearhand currently.
