Am I locked out of getting wilhelmina's quest?
I didn't attend the masqarade because the guard captain kept pushing me towards the coronation and I thought THAT was the masqarade. So after looking it up I didn't get to do the story bit that led me to wilhelmina a second time.

Am I just locked out of her quest now? I met her once but she wont talk to me...

From what I've experienced as well as many players seem to have the same problem atm is Feast of Deception breaks a lot of quests that you cant tell are tied to Act 1. The "this quest is affected by the passage of time" is misleading because it doesn't just apply to any timed quests you have active atm is also applies to many of the quests tied to a few of the love interests (Wilhelmina, Ulrika, possibly others) that aren't labeled as time specific, and quite honestly don't make any sense that they cant be completed in act 2 as well, as they aren't connected.

It's simply designed to punish the player progressing, rather forcing running around the entire map talking to every npc to see if there was some sort of hidden activation within a single quest to progress others. The first game did this too, its kinda awful design but I get they're trying to push you into a new game plus so you can experience and fix choices. Your first play through is always going to be a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ throwaway play through, this is just how DD is.

If it is anything like the old game the developers designed different quests to only be playable in one playthrough as well. Certain quests in DD2 might be like that too.

As far as I recall I had to give her a flower as a gift then like wait a day or 2 then attempt to see her during the morning, but I also did both quests before.

Maybe give her a few more gifts to compensate and see if that works.

ngl it kinda discourages me to play because I feel like I'm wasting my time :(. I'm not young anymore and don't have the same freetime to do a bunch of new game plus runs. Thanks for answering though...

I don't have the option. She just doesn't talk to me :/
if you want to complete other quests in captain brant do not do the coronation quest because it is the main quest that will approach the end of the story of the game and lock the other quests in captain brant.

I also experienced not being able to quest romance with wilhelmina so I finished the game twice so I could romance wilhelmina lol

God i hated the quest design even in DD1. I was realy diligent and tried to talk and solve every quest bevore going to act 2 exactly to avoid having this situation. I could live with not romancing her, but now another quest, getting Hugo a job can`t be completed either.

I was able to do the romance Wilhelmia quest after coronation. Give her some flowers and come back

Had the same problem, did the coronation quest but it looked me out of 2-3 quests (Wilhelmina - roses have thorns and 2-3 Sven quests - masquerade #2, market place).

In short do it in NG+ and just remember to keep Coronation prolonged and wait a day to progress side quests / activate them.

they did warn you it was a point of no return. have fun with ng+ i think its the best way to play this game.

"we want choices to matter!"

also: "i don't like the consequences of my choices because they weren't explained to me beforehand!"
I'm stuck now because I refused to romance her (did not like her) and I didn't let Isaac die from his blind obsession to get rich. Now I'm being punished because I can't complete the quest with Hugo since he needs guidance lol.
