How do you tell the difference between a dragon and drake?
Is there a way to tell which is which?

There's only one dragon and he's the final boss. NPC characters will sometimes refer to a drake as the dragon but it's because they don't know what the dragon actually looks like.

Everything else in this game is a drake. DD1 had wyrms and wyverns but I haven't seen them in DD2.

drake - all of the dragons that say face me etc throughout the world.
lesser dragon has pustules all over it only found in one spot afaik and will attack melve during a certain point of the story.
