So technicly i failed the entire elf quest line?

Did i just failed the entire elf questline because the ogre made a 100m dropkick on me while i was holding the elf girl and she died?

And by reloading the inn save from hours before only just to lost all map progress but not the quet?

Does it give you the option to use a wakestone on her? I've killed a few npcs that are tied to quests and I usually restore to continue.

I cant find her body anywhere and the quest is complete :/

Oof that sounds like a hard L my friend. I've also had things like that happen to me. Sometimes NPC's are taken by the brine and I have to go back to the last Inn or risk having to fumble through the story until I find a way around whatever relevant character got killed off.

The first game was also like this if I recall, there is always a way forward I think, just hard as balls to find.

I havent had any wakestone with me and i couldt even find the body after the escape. her body was nowhere not even the cementery. Im F hard it seams.

For me, that quest was still available when I reloaded my Inn save after failing it. I also lost a few hours of play time. I was able to try again, though.

You're saying even though you loaded your Inn save, the quest is still a failed one? Her brother isn't waiting by the camp anymore to take you to the elf village for his archery trial thing?

NPCs usually appears in morgues after few in game days. I have revived several NPCs like that and was able progress missions after that.

Edit* Unless it straight up failed because she died then nothing to be done. People that died in missions in my game, i didn't actually report back before i revived them.

The quest was not failed per say but completed as the girl was dead. The elf was not in the camp nor at the ruins so the old elf was not in the city.

He may appear once you revive her maybe? Could even come with different dialogues referring to that.

That's definitely a different experience that I had. When I did the quest for the first time, I tries to fight the Ogre instead because I couldn't tell who was his sister. So I killed the ogre, the game gave me a reward and when I was looking around the area for her, the other elves were in a circle around her saying that she was dead. I loaded my Inn save right then and there. And her brother was waiting at the camp for me again.

The only thing I can think of is maybe she wasn't actually dead on my game and I killed the ogre before he smashed her. I kind of doubt that, but, I remember it did give me a portcrystal after I killed the ogre. So maybe I did save her, and it didn't count as failed, which might be why I was able to attempt it again. But like I said, they were standing over her saying that she was dead, too.

Or it was because I didn't leave the cave before loading the Inn save.
