Can't unequip Courtly gear

Hello,

I cannot seem to unequip the courtly gear. Or equip any other gear.

I completed some of Brant's quest, and got to the "soft" point of no return, where you have to equip the courtly gear and then he warns you to get your affairs in order before proceeding.

I declined proceeding, as there were quests I need to finish. Now I am stuck in that courtly gear. I can't remove it. The option is greyed out. Equipping other gear is greyed out.

I am out in Melve fighting some diseased dragon looking like an emo pirate, getting one hit killed. Please help.

you may just have to go forward on your quest then.

Not sure what bugged you out. I declined at exactly the same point you did and had no problem putting my other clothes back on.

Accepting his quest with the clothes on moves you directly into a cutscene. There's no need to lock your fashion because you won't have access to your menus til after its no longer needed. So I feel some other factor is at work there.

Try visiting a vocation hall and changing your job. That should unequip everything in favor of the best gear in your inventory for that job.

Cutlass Jack, thank you for this great suggestion. I swapped vocations back and forth and that finally auto-unequipped the courtly gear.
