The explorer's camping kit isn't useful either...
Alright, without spoiling anything - the explorer's camping kit is again an item that looks kinda useful but it is NOT in any way, shape or form. And I only just figured this out after 28hrs of gameplay.
As for you, CAPCOM - you didn't at all manage to deceive me into buying this thing - however you did very effectively deceive me into being very angry with you cause I thought this particular camping kit would be an actual ingame benefit which you want to charge me extra for.

I've been using the same old day 1 camping gear past lvl 30. Clear mobs before bed and it lasts forever. Like my rl old truck. Works, no need for a new one.

The main advantage is the lower weight. However... you can get an even lighter one when you're solving a certain quest in a clever way , so there's no advantage to it. If anything you'll spoil the item progression of the game for yourself.

You deserve to get burned on every microtransaction you shell out for.

Are you people suggesting these things are reusable???

I have been running around with at least 2 at any one time to be able to restock on health in the wild... almost 100 hours in.

I actually found this camping kit on a random chest as well, i was surprised, since i wouldve expected to be exclusive to that quest.

As long as it doesnt break, so be sure to kill all enemies in the area beforehand.

Some camping kits are unbreakable based on their descriptions, since theyre categorized as being more resistant.

You can buy the explorer's camping kit as a DLC item. It says that it is particularly light weight. This suggests that it is the lightest camping kit in the game if you don't know any better. It is NOT the lightest camping kit you can get in the game . And since weight management is a pretty important aspect of the game, every gramm counts.
So like any other item in the DLC store it looks a lot more important than it actually is. And all this serves is to aggravate people who might suspect that some CAPCOM executive ripped items out of the game just to sell them to you as DLC.
So, the DLC items only serve to leave a bad impression on potential customers.

Just wait till endgame before you talk about the point of the loss gauge.

Also, Mystic Archer's meister skill exists.

Popeye had spinach, we have beetles. Eat your beetles lol.
When loot gets heavy on the whole group, I simply toss my pawns over a cliff. Everything goes to storage. Pawns are everywhere.

First of all, having been very reluctant to use campsites, I thought the loss gauge was the only difficulty setting the game provided and actually quite enjoyed it. (Except that one time my pawns jumped off a cliff just after a bandit stole my lantern in the middle of the night and I didn't have a waystone on me. That ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ sucked!)

If the game only gets double as hard in the unmoored world it'll still be two times to easy. I've been running with only my main pawn for the past 20 hours, not using any healing support outside robodans and using ♥♥♥♥♥♥ gear on purpose. Not to mention I avoid abilities such as the thief and magic archer maister skills like the plague. Luckily I just found a mod to increase difficulty so maybe I get to play the game as intended again!!!

Anyways, I really really doubt I'll be impressed in the slightest by the unmoored world.

So yeah, all those people saying the MTX doesn't matter have been saying this since the beginning. Capcom wasn't being deceptive because you assumed the MTX "would be an actual ingame benefit."

Besides, guesswhat, it does have a benefit. They're lighter + relatively cheaper / more universal than the other region kits.

Here's the big spoiler: i've camped maybe 2 times in the entire game, it's pointless.
