RED EYES PAWN != DRAGON PLAGUE
Dear All Arisen,
I would kindly remind you that pawns with red eyes do not necessarily mean dragon plague.
Love,
Someone with a pawn with red eyes

I am aware that some people just have pawns with red eyes. I'm also aware that not every cold sore is herpes. But why take the chance? Just get rid of your herpes eyes.

It's not so much that I think red eyes = the plague as it is that it's a symptom I can't check for anymore bc of the red eyes.

"plague eyes" pulsate red. You definitely won't miss it if you see it at least once.

When i created my pawn i didn't know about Dragonsplague so i created pawn with distinct vampire red eyes lul. Maybe thats why it hired not very often. Maybe ppl looks at pawns eyes and immidiately throw her in the deep water ;(
Pawn abuse!

I hired a pawn with red eyes that looked cool. It was fine, nothing happened for about a dozen days. I did end up offering her to the brine after fighting a drake and her eyes started glowing a bit.

From what i've read and saw ingame important npcs (quest, vendors) respawn...

Nope. in my playthrough the Plague once killed all the NPCs at a Checkpoint Rest and no one respawns.
I think this only applies to npcs from the main quest
it takes 3 days. Then the npcs (important ones) respawn. This was already confirmed.

Seems like there's phases to it. I watched one pawn I had with it as it progressed. I got lucky and triggered the "You needn't command me at every turn!" dialogue before any other symptoms manifested so I got to observe for a while. It started out just on the corners of the iris and it wasn't glowing or pulsating. Over time they became more vibrant but I gave up on the drake hunt since it seems like they're not re-spawning for me and sent her back before she infected anyone else.

So I imagine that by the time there's big glowing redness, they've already had several chances to pass on the pawn-aids.

What do you mean when you say "important". City merchants, innkeepers, characters with secondary quests etc. will not be respawn. This has already been confirmed

Same. Rejected pawns with such eyes. Those with full helmets covering eyes will get rejected too.
as far as i know, a pawn with eyecover will remove them if they are infected. and they wil be more agressive in there voicelines... and they will say that they feel more powerfull..

You can also just raise the face-cover yourself by going to their inventory and selecting the helm.

And just think, when you get to Batthal, there's a rift vendor there that sells red, blue, green, yellow, and purple pigments to further customize your pawn.... Basically the TRUE colors, unlike the base colors when you start the game fresh.

EDIT: My Arisen has Dragonsplague xP (Not a real happening, of course, she just had bright "TRUE" red eyes).

The red eyes glow. And the pawn has an unpawn-like attitude. Instant dismissal, but I wish there were a way to warn the arisen she was main to. There should be a way to warn. A special gift that means 'look out, kemosabe."

Still not using them lol

I've felt that too. Maybe a forgery item with a funny name or something.
