It's not so much that I think red eyes = the plague as it is that it's a symptom I can't check for anymore bc of the red eyes.
"plague eyes" pulsate red. You definitely won't miss it if you see it at least once.
So I imagine that by the time there's big glowing redness, they've already had several chances to pass on the pawn-aids.
What do you mean when you say "important". City merchants, innkeepers, characters with secondary quests etc. will not be respawn. This has already been confirmed
And just think, when you get to Batthal, there's a rift vendor there that sells red, blue, green, yellow, and purple pigments to further customize your pawn.... Basically the TRUE colors, unlike the base colors when you start the game fresh.
EDIT: My Arisen has Dragonsplague xP (Not a real happening, of course, she just had bright "TRUE" red eyes).
