Sphinx help - Riddle of Rumination
So this encounter was something I missed during my first playthrough. I stumbled upon Sphinx in New game + and there is a riddle where you have to locate the place of the first seeker token you found. I went there and there was a seeker token there but not the one she is asking me to bring. Does the seeker token pickups reset when starting a new game plus? Because if that is the case I have no idea what my "new" first pick up is.

Is there a way to cheese this quest?

I found this out way late as well and just had to brute force it using an interactive map to visit every location. I don't think it resets on ng+ but I could be wrong. Also a useful tip is that the trickster passive that makes a noise when a token is nearby works on the finders token or whatever its called. So if you roughly remember the ones you picked up and then hear one near one you picked itup it should be the one for sphinx

You can use a forgery of the finders token, send by another player.

Give me 20 mnute, I'm going live to see this. Pretty sure it reset on NG+; because it wasn't there on my First playthrough (i checked my vod to be sure)

My seeker tokens didn't reset in NG+. I thought I was going to have to brute force it and run through all the areas I'd beet, but got super lucky. I went to the main city to start looking, and it happened to be in the fountain! Maybe that was your first seeker token, too?

Unfortunately the augment that helps find seeker tokens does NOT work for the sphinx token. You may need to brute force it or try out the mod that marks it for you.

Go to nexus mods there is mode for this, find your token.
search for : ''Riddle of Rumination''

Wait how would that work ? She specifically asks for a finders token.

Yeah I guessed so. The thing is I remember finding my first tokens around Melve so I checked those and they seemed to have reset, so It's definitely the first one I found on Ng+ which could be anything really because I wasn't paying any attention and some of them I found in caves. The only way I can narrow it down at this point is that I haven't been to battahl yet.

TBH if the early game wasn't such a chore I could rush to the end. Main quest line is extremely short. You can literally rush a newgame cycle fairly quick.

Try downloading a mod from nexus, or you can just wait out and fail that quest, you will still be able to continue her quest chain.

The ng+ token location will be different yeah, it won't be the first token your character ever found, but the first in that new game cycle.

What is the consequence of missing that particular riddle? Does it cost me just one reward ?

yes it does, i confirmed it myself. trickster aug definitely chimes and shines finders token.

i'm going to confirm if NG+ uses first token found in NG+ or first token found ever, as i have both marked on my map, just have to run over to sphinx

Are you sure it's not the one she asked you to bring? It's not called a seekers token, it is called something slightly different though i don't remember the name..

Or are you saying when i get to new game plus, i will have to pick every single one of these mf'ers up once more?

In any case, finding the first one should not be that hard to find. there is like 4 in the first area. One on the left side just outside of town, you have to make a left turn and jump over a simple cliff jump (where i apparently found mine).

The next one is on top of a cliff with goblins before you get to the bonfire, in a harpy nest up on the rocks.

Then there is the one by the bonfire, underneath the bridge.

And the last on one of the ramps heading down back to town.

that is, if you didn't try to jump all the buildings in the town and randomly found the one over the lady selling potions.

Should be super easy to find one of them.

I think it's called finders token
