WTF is Thief?
♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is it busted. Not only am I immortal after I learn the final skill, I basically decimate any big mob I face that doesn't have specific weakpoints with Sonic Spins. I can rip flyers out of the air with Implicate and plant giant AoE explosions to deal with packs in a single blow. Bounce off rock-saurians? Lmao just trip em' with Implicate, grab hold and shank em'.

Coming from primarily playing Fighter, Warrior and Mystic Spearhand, not only is Thief far superior when it comes to responsiveness, versatility and mobility, but their damage is through the roof as well. Defensively I can't be touched, who needs the defense stat? And this is not a "It takes effort to Dodge" situation, as long as I have Stamina restoratives, I can let the controller go.

Why would I ever play something else at this point? I feel like I've been playing the game wrong. I tried swapping back to any of the former martials and every time I came up to a fight that took more than a minute I kept thinking "This would be over half a minute ago if I was Thief".

Bloody hell is it good. I love playing it, and I am glad I didn't play it earlier because then I would never have touched any of the other Vocations to learn their augments.

It does feel bad when you really enjoy playing beefy guy with big beefy sword but find out that the quick Thief class gets to do five times your damage in the same span of time it takes you to finish one swing. There's always that annoying thought in the back of your head that anything you're finding challenging or tedious to deal with would probably be much easier if you just picked the other class.

My only advice is to play around with the other vocations you do like to see what unique or fun things they get that Thief doesn't get. I doubt you'll be able to beat Thief's raw DPS, but I recently watched a clip of a Mystic Spearhand baseball bat a bandit into the sky and one-shot an approaching Griffin. I've never even played Mystic Spearhand, but it looked incredible.

Yeah. Thief desperately needs a nerf to be enjoyable.

It’s a single player game, nerf yourself, equip some crap gear and enjoy the game how you want.

I mean you said you played mystic spearhand before, if anything the shield spell from that vocation is busted, you and your pawns can be infinitely invulnerable

Feint + Pyre needs a huge nerf, mostly feint as it enabled the abuse of pyre.

The shield is much more tedious to manage and mystic spearhand doesn't have any damage equivalent to skullsplitter.

I honestly find the other classes to be very good as well if played to their full potential. Most underrated class is probably sorceress. But my Sorc is pretty much one shotting bosses with meteor.

I'd say "play a vocation you enjoy more", but I know from other games that some people feel compelled to play The Strongest (even as they post about how it's OP & not fun. Skyrim was bad for that, for example)

so far all the classes i played have at least one thing thats toaly op.

Like spear..immun to dmg for full party....yeah..why not lolz.

wont use it in my second playtrough tough.

People are just so crippled these days...everything needs to be exactly how they want it or its trash and they cry. Of course game needs fixes..like hardmode etc..but so much crying...its a world full of spoiled brats..that somehow are 20-40 years old.

Who cares if it's private? What does that have to do with anything? It's a preference of some people, just like you like your own privacy in certain settings.

PS, your profile might as well be private too, it doesn't show anything worthwhile.

Just because this is a single player game there is not supposed to be any balance? ♥♥♥♥♥♥ even is that notion? How can anyone above the age of 10 even enjoy playing a game with basically god-mode on? Or what equivalents to a point and click instakill move.

I understand why people do use this ♥♥♥♥ if made available, because they are lazy and skillless. Same as how many gamers like to fill their screen with half naked virtual girls, because they lack creativity and are degenerate perverts. But how can anyone truly say this is fun and a good design in the long run?

This is a power fantasy game where it's very easy to get OP. Same case with the original. The games are only tough in the very beginning before you find a place to grind.

As with any power fantasy game, you can handicap yourself to give yourself a challenge. If you don't like anime insta-kills, don't use it. There are only 4 skill slots and lots of interesting skills. Choose another.

Why would you want them to nerf option in a single player game?
