Others get RC if you hire their pawn?
I've been using the same two people's pawns since I hired them at level 20. I'm currently level 46 and their players have gotten them to 26 and 27.

Just wondering if the other players will still get some form of RC even though I don't pay any when I hire them? (I do still leave them with gifts and thumbs/hearts when I dismiss them at the end of a play session)

even if the hired pawn just falls into the water or dies for some reason - the owner will still receive RC

Pawns do not receive RC because you "pay" them. They simply receive RC based on some percentage of the combat EXP they gained while traveling with you. I believe it's around 10%, at least it was in DD1. It's also affected by the character and pawn levels

I send my pawn out with a 10,000 gold reward for quests, and I only hire pawns that have 10,000 gold reward, making 200K every few hours. Changing pawns when their quest is done.

Oh neat! I had no idea. Thought it was based on the amount you hire them for. This makes me feel better then.

I don't really need money. Originally wasn't going to hire any pawns because I'm not really a fan of how it's setup. Made it to level 20 with just me and my own pawn, but after failing to beat a Chimera too many times I caved and decided to hire two random pawns to help. Ended up enjoying the experience of them all talking together and decided to use only those two for this entire run. I've found it wildly more enjoyable for my personal play style.

Just remember it. This is like free business advice.
