also in general I don't think archer is weaker considering you can attack anyone no matter if they are flying or on the ground. if you played warrior you'd know what a struggle it is
Trickster is amazing at what it does, and no other class does the same. Leave that one the hell alone :D
You melt anything in seconds.
But just one thing.
The invincible legendary skill really is like a cheat, it makes the entire game's content far too easy.
BUT it's also dragging some thieves down, it's draining all their stamina, which could be used for attacks, and a good thief could use his countermove instead, if you're an excelent player you can avoid taking damage anyway, spending far less stamina, and dealing a ton of damage every time you counter someone instead.
It really feels like training wheels for gaming journos.
Oh absolutely. But a lot of classes have those. Spearhand's group shield is similarly busted.
Personally I stop using the skills that trivialize gameplay, but when discussing class balance in general I feel like it is most resonable to assume that people are, broadly speaking, going to be using the best tools available to them. I don't like having to handicap myself to keep the game interesting. I'm willing to do it, but I don't expect everyone else to feel the same way.
Strangely enough, i didnt struggle with warrior one bit. In fact, i had an amazingly easy time with warrior. Coming from DD1, i did think that ranger will be at least somewhat bonkers and warrior bit meh, which doesnt seem to be like that as of now. With warrior only the dragons are a bit tricky, because of the longer windup of warriors moves. Everything else dies waaaayy to fast. Trash gets annihilated on the spot.warrior + high knockdown hammer + jumping hard attack = broken beyond belief
yeah, pretty much. very helpful if you main some closecombat class.
Warrior and fighter seemed decent. One with big dmg unga bunga moves and the other one has skewer and one, if not the most, broken counter.
MA and Warfarer can stand toe to toe,
Warfarer with Rivet shot and whatever multi hit homing skills you can throw at the enemy procs Flare a lot nicer than just skull splitter, thanks to being ranged and homing
MA can just Martyr bolt and forget
MS offers party wide invincibility, lacking in the dps side compared to the other two though
