Riddle of Differentiation - Where to find Vergil in the endgame "red sky"

So I postponed my visit to the Spinx so far that I can't find Vergil outside the doors of Rest Town. Anyone know where to find him when you have red sky?

I looked up and he might be here https://imgur.com/oabuBu1 in the seafloor shrine according to some but so far no luck because NPC count is higher than limit so game basically makes them basically appear out of thin air and disappear at random and in quick succession. so far no luck find him there there for me but maybe others? only if you evacuated them of course. it's the bakbattahl district so it would make sense to see him here since he is also registered as battahl resident.

ok so it actually worked but it took me me A LOT of time. 20 minutes or so and still no sign. then I drew weapon and scared some NPCs out of district, ran some circles around the position on the image I sent and he appeared finally.

WOW. I was looking for him at the seashrine too. For like 30mins but couldn't find him. As you mentioned, the invisible NPC's didn't make it easier.
I gave up and will do it in NG+ now.

Also... did you find him in your history book? You know, where all the NPC's and their location is tracked? I couldn't find him there and thought he has been killed and the Sphinx was trolling me with this quest. I could only find Dante (the dude with a similar face).

Well then I suppose he was dead in my game because he wasn't listed there. Seems I was even more unlucky then you my friend! Glad you found him.

I can't use a wakestone on a NPC that is NOT there. He was not listed in my history book anymore. I also checked the morgue in Battahl but I also couldn't find him there. That's why I asked if he was still in your history book when you were in endgame content. For me, he was gone. From the world AND the book.

Secondly I'm already in my NG+ run now.^^

Yeah, his not on my NPC logbook anymore as well. Anyone know where he could be?

LMAO it works!!! I tried it. He still not listed under NPC logbook. But Vergil appear out of thin air.

Update:
If I restart the game, it will appear in the NPC logbook after sometime.
