Lack of pawn diversity

Every time I am in the rift, the vast majority of human pawns are white females. There's a serious lack of representation in DD2 pawn racial makeup. From my estimation, about 10% or maybe less of the pawns are black. Compare that to the real world, at least 70% of the characters in TV commercials are black? Why such a big disconnect? Do journalists have a point when they say gamers are anti-diversity and anti-representation?

There are a few things to consider here:
#1. The ones most likely to make black pawns (and black arisen) are black players. Few black pawns probably means few black players.
#2. Given the game is Japanese, and based on Japanese perception of medieval Europe, chances are that most of the Japanese players (and indeed players in most countries) are just going to make medieval European-looking characters.... OR make Japanese-looking ones, I suppose. Not that you'd necessarily be able to tell the difference visually in-game.
#3. Who even gives a sh!t? You want black pawns? Make black pawns yourself. Problem solved.

I typically run with a female squad cos I like seeing women doing cool stuff in games.. like my Main Pawn Female Warrior yeeting that fully armored Fighter onto a Cyclops' face so she can go goblin mode on that juicy eyeball... And then have a chuckle when they decide to fistbump when the stabby fighter gets the kill lol

I like to look at Arisen Status when hiring and after my Pawn comes home.
I find it interesting that I've seen a lot of cool looking dark skin Arisens who have white female pawns. XD

If only that were true. Unfortunately it's not and commercials overly force feed you diversity now in the opposite direction(aka not real demographics or using demo stats in the nation). I no longer watch TV because of that fact(yes fact). Well that and TV sucks now.

Your sir/mam under the cool pawns. I maybe should i wrote different.

Summary people like to create pawns:
Realistic = Pawns which looking how real people (friends and co inclusive celebrities)
Sexy = Pawns which mostly attractive and push all sexy buttons
Anime = Pawns which looks how a favorite animal character
Furry = Pawns which mostly have an animal backstory
RP = Pawns which have a rich back story
Cool-looking-Badass = Pawns which look just cool
For the lolz = Pepe, Ratman/women all the silly characters
Diverse = Pawns which you can’t clearly assign / or combos from above

All in all, we have a lot of diversity already, just another form of diversity.
