NG+ or just start new game?
Trying to do all side quests, but it's like a chore while playing NG+ because mobs are too weak. Thoughts?

Hard to say, if you're looking for a challenge you ought to check out some of the mods first before deciding or self-imposed handicaps like level 1 gear and just mainpawn. If that still sucks, rerolling is the most authentic way to get the challenge back in the game.

All depends what's coming later in an expansion or DLC really and we've no idea what that might be. Having a save where you are as high level as possible might be useful if they add something like Bitterblack Isle in the first game or some other type of endgame style activity.

Up to you. If you'll have more fun restarting with nothing than go for it.

Hey if lack of challenge is a problem, just wipe it clean go for new game.

Even if DLC or expansion is in works, you won't see it anytime soon anyway.

Are people just rushing mainline quests? 99% of the pawns I pick up say ♥♥♥♥ like "My master doesnt know that strategy/item/area/etc."

Tells me people dont be doing jack diddly for completion, just bumrush story then come to the forums to cry about their gameplay styles ruining a game with a ton of stuff

I'm going to put the game down after i'm done with this playthrough so I will probably go into New Game +, get to the point where I can set my Main Pawn's quest and make sure their loudout is correct and then Uninstall.

That way my Pawn can provide his services while I wait for DLC.

Then theoretically when I come back my Pawn will have a ton of RC.

I tried NG+ and it was too easy with the high level character. I am thinking of restarting the game if there is nothing new NG+ offers. Do I have to customize my character and the main pawn again? I would like to keep the character appearance while resetting everything else.

I had the same thought while trying NG+ so instead of doing that, I did a back-up of the savefiles of my first playthrough and started a new game from lvl 1. That was the right decision for me, because its more challenging now again and I'm enjoying it way more than NG+.

I'm still exploring not going to the end of the game but if I would play NG+ I would do it some kind of challenge run like no pawns or only my pawn or playing as this support class with the smoke leting pawns do everything. something like that but I rather stay in my first world explore and wait for more patches.

To have fun in NG+ limit yourself to a tier of gear you wear, and run fun but unoptimised parties. Like two warriors two archers.

For me the trick was to create a "wayfarer" in my warfarer class - bow centric character with double spear as melee option (but without the OP shield). I stick to the Darkening bow and starting Spear's robes. Alternatively, you can seek lower lvl pawns.

Generally there's absolutely no challenge in the game after lvl 40, at least if you run with top tier gear and best party setups.
