Apparently the max level in this game is 999?
I really wonder why it goes that high, do you really need to keep doing cycles as it goes up or do NG+ gives you higher quality items each time you go up?

at least you don't had to do 999 level, but I guess it's for long term player who enjoy this game for long time, but not for short term player who like to play for little while before jump to other game.

When you set the pawn search to the max you can reach 999, but you can't afford it lol, not like any pawns exist at that level. I'm guessing Capcom is planning to give us some sort of procedural dungeon that goes deeper and stuff, so your weapons and gear can get stuff like +1, to +10 or whatnot.

It's like parangon system on D3, just a way to measure how much time did you spend on your char.

There are stats cap at around lvl 200. Going above seems to not give any stats.

That's lame, if that was the case it would've been nice if Capcom just capped level at 200.

The thought of level 999 got me hopeful that there will be future contents or feature that will utilize that level.

Nobody's ever going to reach that by legitimate means, anyway.

Unless you start doing this game's equivalent of gravity farming Death.

Expansion like Dark Arisen and then some way to make you scale up higher probably. But I digress, I already lost interest in continuing my game and I haven't even beaten it, I'm probably about more than halfway done since the fortress came out of the water, which I think is the later parts of the main storyline, then the unmoored which is post game, but I still find that incredibly short.

And for side quests, there actually isn't a ton of them, I finished most of them apparently, and some MIGHT be locked out due to choices made, which is annoying if that happens to you.

PRETTY sure the magistrate guy talking about a 'mad sovereign' during one of the side quests as historical flavor text is basically a Capcom's hint towards a dark arisen clone.
