Can you use a ferrystone to speed up an escort quest like in DDDA?

I just want to make sure I don't auto fail my escort quest if I use a ferry stone with it active. Anyone try this without issue?

no thats how that works. its usefull for escourts and sphinx quest.

Ok so if I ferry without holding them, will the quest just auto fail because they are half way across the map? lol

I;m glad I asked as I would have never guessed you needed to hold the person before using the ferry stone lol. Nice little detail but I wonder if the game hinted at it somewhere and I'm just blind.

if they are following you can just teleport they will come with. If you are abducting someone then yes, grab him and port.

Ok so with Escort quests no holding is needed just ferry away, but if you want to take a person against their will you have to snatch them up first lol. Got it

Yep pick them up they use FS and they come with you...

I can also confirm that ox carts work just fine too. So if your stingy with ferry stones you can use ox carts assuming your destination is close to a major town.

I would recommend holding them either way. there is really no reason not to and it can be wonky sometimes and not bring the person with you.

if the npc is following you you could use a ferrystone since they are kinda part of the party, if the npc is unable to move and you have to carry them, you could use a ferrystone while you are holding them.

Yeah I've tried both ways when you have an escort, so unless you get a bug it should work either way.

I just failed an escort quest after dozing off in the ox cart...why did it happen? was it because they weren't very close to me at the time?
