Wayfarer - how to switch weapons?
I unlocked the class. Learned the "master" ability that SHOULD let me equip multiple weapons and switch between them, but somehow I missed how to equip them or what I have to press?

1. Assign "Rearmament" as a skill on one of your skill slots, it's basically the Warfarer "Meister skill"
2. Equip sets of weapons, you just equip them in the order you want them to cycle in

You need the skill called rearmament. You have to learn it at the Vocation trainer
Mannotaur Mar 28, 2024 @ 5:26pm
You have to speak to Lamond again after you get the vocation to get the scroll that gives you the ability to change weapons called Rearmament. I spent over an hour trying to figure out why it was missing. After learning it you have to assign it at the vacation master like all other abilities.

Okay now I see why everyone is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on Wayfarer. I need to waste 1 out of 4 skills to switch weapons. *sign* wasn't worth unlocking...

It's still worthwhile for two reasons specifically: It has what might be the two best augments in the game, and when playing as it, you gain vocation XP for EVERY OTHER VOCATION AT THE SAME TIME

So if you already maxed out say... Mystic Spearhand, and would like to keep playing as that, you can literally do that as a Warfarer, and gain XP for every single vocation. You have generally lower stats, but equipment balances that out... It's what I've been doing and I'm still OP as hell

Well THAT is a good reason then. I was already focusing on mastering every class anyway. Got 4 already at max but THIS changes thing. Guess I pick a mage staff as second weapon in there to fly / shield / heal IF needed.

I see! Had the same question. I think they should explain it better in-game.

I didn't really get the vocation from Lamond, it just opened itself in the end game. So I don't have the meister skill.
The guy at the Inn must have gotten sick of me going in and out of the vocation menu trying to figure out how to do it or where is the Rearmment skill XD

They do explain it in game. It's literally in the Warfarer tutorial popup.

Yes, it says you can equip multiple weapons and switch between them by using the Rearment skill.
Like it is the main selling point of the vocation, but then it isn't readily available. Unless you go liquor hunting for an NPC, which I only managed to find one bottle in NG, and one was gifted to me too late in Unmoored world lol

They are so easy to find tho. But if you really can't find any other then just make copies at Ibrahim's Shop.

Really? I've explored so much, done all but a few quests, and opened many chests, and I cheked all the shops and pubs I know, and I only found one in the dwarf's house.

But yeah I was thinking of doing that in NG+

Warfarer is the best class in the game if you like to explore. Being able to switch to a staff to levitate without being locked in to playing sorcerer or mage is huge. Plus you can do insane combos like tarring with bow, switching to molten fury for a skyward sunder to ignite the enemy, and then swapping to daggers to shred the ♥♥♥♥ out of it. Plus you get DCP toward every vocation when playing as Warfarer so it lets you level up ♥♥♥♥ vocations like Trickster without having to play it. (Sorry if you actually like Trickster).

Look. After I wrote that I also only played Wayfarer. But not to switch skills. Only for the magic staff levitation and heal if needed.
I just spammed Thief's Skull Splitter and melted EVERYTHING.
I liked that you can level all vocations with it but the way they implemented the weapon switch was just dumb in my opinion.

The "true warfarer" mod makes that class, hands down, the best class in the game since you have an entirely separate skill slots, per weapon. So when you swap the weapon, you also swap the skill slots to those of the specific weapon.

can swap through 20+ skills at the press of a button.
