WARNING FOR ENDGAME. do not sleep too many times!
if you continue to sleep in the inn after reaching the true endgame eventually it will move time and you will then ''trigger a cutscene that says the game is ending and you couldnt stop it, so if you didnt finish up everything and explore everything in the endgame do so before sleeping too much in the inn for saves, or it will auto complete the game and put you into ng+ for you

If that ever happen would be a time sensitive final game mission. The world is not in any imminent danger nor are you on any time limit to save it.

this is misinformation. its literally tied to the last quest of the game. you can explore and do other ♥♥♥♥ for as long as you like.

Right and there are challenges to camp a number of times in each region. These may be trolls trying to make people worried about the game lol

It's not though. OP worded it a bit ambiguously calling it the end game, but you're absolutely limited by time (at least initially) in the unmoored world.

You have infinite time *before* you kill the dragon, but not after.

My main quest turned blue because I was exploring a lot, so I started to focus on that to play catch up. Eventually I managed to shift it back to not failed. (i.e. not blue anymore)

Shorter quests will warn you if you on the cusp of getting the failed result. If you look at your quest list, the quest in question will be flickering between a normal quest icon and a blue quest icon. This is the indicator that you need to complete the quest ASAP.

Blue quests mean your main pawn has knowledge of the quest

Really? Because the only one that went blue besides the main quest was Rod's quest and I failed it. So I guess there is no indicator.

So is it confirmed that doing everything (quest, other beacons, save everyone) just before killing the dragon (final beacon) make the timer infinite/gone?
I really want to reach this point again in NG+ but I'm really afraid about this timer mechanic.

I'm not sure if it's infinite, but it's at the very least very long.

The timer is more generous than people make it sound though. Put a portcrystal down in the volcano camp, the elf village, and the desert capital before you kill the dragon and you're almost definitely going to be good. Have a handful of wakestones and a dozen or so ferrystones ready and in your inventory as well.

Teleport to the desert capital, grab your pawn, then ignore every other quest until all of the red beacons are dealt with. After you get your pawn, do the volcano camp beacon, rest at the desert capital inn, and then do the remaining beacons in whatever order you want. You may be able to rest before doing the volcano camp beacon but I'm not sure. Just ferrystone to where you need to go, take out the beacons, and then circle back around and do all of the quests.

There are four beacons initially and then a 5th one will appear near the excavation site later.

OP should really edit the title, judging by the amount of ppl here that are worrying about the regular game.

not even sure if post game needs the warning in the first place since you dont get any rewards for doing the objective in the most optimal way.

Thanks for the informations. I already started my ng+ playthrought but what I'm concerned is the EXACT time remaining to do everything since what I'm worried about is the restart from day one unmoored world. I think I will wait for updates, more precise informations and in last resort mods to solve this.

The endgame/unmoored world is probably the most disappointing thing about this game. The world changing and becoming more dangerous in the first game was a BRILLIANT idea as it was shift in difficulty and it was PERMANENT. Having your endgame timed is probably the worst Idea I ever heard of as it pretty much eliminates the end game in general. NG+ doesnt make the game harder, theres no hard mode after beating the game. So theres no real point in starting NG+ in general, and the coolest part of the game is timed.

We are talking about the post game not the normal game

What do you mean with blue quest? The blue hand icon near mission names just means none of your pawns have done it
