WARNING FOR ENDGAME. do not sleep too many times!
if you continue to sleep in the inn after reaching the true endgame eventually it will move time and you will then ''trigger a cutscene that says the game is ending and you couldnt stop it, so if you didnt finish up everything and explore everything in the endgame do so before sleeping too much in the inn for saves, or it will auto complete the game and put you into ng+ for you

Yes, also try not to die without a wakestone or you're going to restart from the beginning of the endgame, losing all progress you made.
And where is the proof of this? I googled and found zero info about it.

You can't load from last inn save?

It looks like that and only that works, you can't load a manual save when dying. Personally when I did it I suicided 20 minutes into it because the quest npc died and I restarted all over, also I never did any inn rest because I was afraid of the time limit.

How do you know when you are getting close to end game?

Yeah you have a few days before you get booted. 2nd time round I downloaded a mod so time never progressed.

Sleeping is not the only way you can fail the quest, just by exploring and doing alternate things, as days pass by quests will start to turn blue as the stories progresses without you. My main quest turned blue because I was exploring a lot, so I started to focus on that to play catch up. Eventually I managed to shift it back to not failed. (i.e. not blue anymore)

Shorter quests will warn you if you on the cusp of getting the failed result. If you look at your quest list, the quest in question will be flickering between a normal quest icon and a blue quest icon. This is the indicator that you need to complete the quest ASAP.

It's for the true ending. The game gives you a whole 2 days to complete post game. If you're on the final day, you will receive a prompt saying something about time being distorted and the end of the world is nigh. If you die during post game, you get locked into the bad end and you will have start again from the state you were in when you first began post game.

it literally happend to me on ps5 as i played, i did a few quests and killed a few endgame bosses and slept a few times, like 5-6 times and bang, a cutscene triggered telling me that i was out of time and that the cycle will continue and i cannot stop it, a cutscene triggered, and i was put into the main menu and able to choose ng+ , as the only option

Well at least there's a new game plus. Why beat it once when you can do it again?

The game will make sure you know, the first time that time progresses during post game, you will see a cutscene that'll basically hint to you that things are getting progressively worse, than a few more rest and the game will straight up prompt you to either give up and reset or to get a move on.

Also the main questline in postgame involves you going to each main city and convincing the population of each to move to a new central hub before the world slowly destroys itself which is also a good indicator that you have very little time.

I hate forced time constraints on a game, cutting off exploration and much of the game because "Oh my god, time is running out." Yes, to save an npc from a burning building, makes sense, but everything else seems artificial pressure that ruins my enjoyment of a game. GG Capcom.

i dont mind time sensitive quests, but comeon man its the ENDGAME, so much new stuff opens up and so many new cool enemies is showing up and you dont even have very long to fight them...

Im still safe to use the INN as much as I want before the end game right???
WastingSanity Mar 28, 2024 @ 3:46pm
It is just an artificial way of stopping players from 100% the game on the first run. Not a fan of that.
