Are magic bows worth it even at half the normal strength??
Im in the elven village and theres this magic bow that has 140% ice element but it has half the strength of the bow i already have. Is that a worth while trade off? is elemental damage that powerful or is the strength stat better? thoughts?

Typically in games like this a hybrid dmg weapon does well at low levels and worse at higher levels of stats.

Depending on damage calculations and resistances, you now go through two layers of mitigation on your damage numbers resulting in more reductions in your overall damage, typically.

There are scenarios where split dmg is good in cases of inefficient stats to help push str or magic to high enough levels to out do the hybrid dmg, or where the enemy is resistant to physical dmg and allowing magic dmg to still maintain effectiveness.

Or maybe, you went full mage/sorcerer, and now you don't have any str, but you still want to become magic bowman, now you can still do ok dmg even though you don't have any str, via your magic stat.

I don't actually know the stats in this game, but this is typically what goes on with split dmg weapons in other games.

Magick bows only scale from magick and not strength. If you meant magick anyway then no, unless you have no way to get your weapon imbued with an element (from a mage pawn) and are fighting a enemy very weak to ice, magick is always the best stat by far.
