Do People Switch Out Pawns Often?
Hello, just had a question for the community.

I myself switch my Pawns pretty constantly as I like to complete the quests people have assigned to them (and usually net myself a nice reward in the process).
I don't tend to have them die much at all in my game so I end up dismissing them once their quest is complete and I arrive back in town for a big rift stone to peruse.

I switch them up when I've gained a few levels and they're lagging behind. Or when I switch vocations on my arisen&main, and need to change the party makeup. I might get a couple pawn quests done every couple hours of play. /shrug

if i outleveled them a bunch, if they slipped into the brine, if i maxed a vocation and switch to another one and need a different class for a pawn, if the pawn has a worse loadout than the new one i just found. yeah.

I only switch when they get to weak to keep up, fall in the brine as I am exploring, or they get lippy.

Dragon's Plague has, funnily enough, made the community far more toxic. I would have been absolutely aghast at the thought of letting another player's pawn fall in the brine in DDDA. But in DD2, I will toss them in on purpose at the first sign of lip.

I don't but that's because I spend most of my time out in the wilderness hunting big things.
But whenever I get back to a town I will switch up.

As soon as I outleveled them by 3-4 levels. I don't hire pawn higher level than me to save RC.

i keep them until their quest is done, but i literally spent like 5+ hours trying to find a single cyclops
everyone complaining about reusing enemies man its a struggle to find the ones you want

Subtopic and not trying to derail. What do you guys give as a gift to pawns you like?
I am leveling slowly and always out of money, so curious what you all afford to give?

I usually switch them out when they are lagging behind in lvl.

I switch mine out every five levels. You kind of have to because only your personal Pawn can level up with you.

I usually try to give them something that they can use. Like meat for when they camp next or mighty rouborant.

Yes. Hard to keep track of the pawns when I’m too busy throwing them off cliffs to get to a ledge for a chest.

after level 50 or so, i level slowly enough that I don't need to keep cycling out pawns. I'll hire them 2 levels ahead of me so I can stick with them a while.

I have a mage main pawn that is pure support, and I am pretty choosy about the other two for traits and whatnot.

The character I inadvertantly switch out most often is the rogue because hilariously they end up dying in the weirdest ways. I just had one ride a cyclops off a cliff like Maj. T. J. "King" Kong from dr strangelove.

Previously the other rogue got thrown into the ocean by an ogre.
