Quest problems - Prey for the Pack

TLDR: I found Rodge and saved him. I left to go back to the village, running, climbing, whatever to make it faster to return. Rodge did not follow. There is no marker for him for me to go back to find him. Sleeping didn't have him show up and neither did using a ferrystone, but without him, I can't talk to Morris to turn in the quest.

I've heard he'll sometimes reset back to Putrid Cave. See if that works.

if you get too far from NPCs that are following on quests like that, they stop following
you could try retracing your steps to see where he is at if he didnt reset

he could die where you left him tbh since you slept and such.. maybe check a charnel house and hope you can rez him if so

A streamer I watch had the same issue. He ran ahead of Rodge and then he never got the dialogue option at the town to complete the quest. I suppose the character respawned at the cave again or may have died if he was left too far behind.

He get's left behind and his marker disappears if you get too far. If you backtrack you can find him and his marker will reappear. I had the same problem.

Be careful because he also gets stuck on the oxcart at the front of the town if you run ahead of him.

Thank you everyone. He did just stop following shortly after I left the cave I found him at.
I've also learned we can't actually ferrystone people on escort quests either anymore
They've made it so much worse.
