There is not adequate Lefty representation in video games.
Unfortunately my character has his bad eye on the right side and the eye patch would be perfect role play - but I can only cover his one good eye -.-
I see your point about lefthandedness, but probably that is a lot more complicated than just flipping a graphic asset like an eye patch. Because even though you theoretically only have to flip all the animations etc. i imagine that cascades into a number of problems developers have no capacities to tackle.
I do such things on Second Life in edit mode. It's not even difficult to do. It's just the shape of the item and shifting it aside slightly. Quite literary. So I can't see how it could be difficult to do in this game. It's just simple item flipping/moving. Just might need to redo the side of the eyepatch so it's on the other side. That's a simple enough create item/shaping though. Then just attach to the face.
