Chopping a Chimera

Is it possible to chop the tail off the chimera? I can't be bothered testing myself lol too much walking and I'm currently a sorcerer.

It's possible for the tail to be chopped off after snake hp reaches zero and the snake dies. The goat and lion have their own health pools. I've also seen the snake die and chimera defeated without the snake getting chopped off.

If you chop tis tail off, it loses its poison skills, and it will also have a chance for some extra loot, like skins and such. You can also kill the head on its back (cant chop it off sadly) and it will lose its ability to cast spells

Also, also you can kill the lion head and it can't do melee attacks.
